“TL;DR: Amazing shop. Ignore the clutter, it's worth it. //This is THE place to shop for aquatics and reptiles in the Hagerstown area. I haven't even looked at a PetSmart or a Petco since I found Appalachian.They take amazing care of their animals, and always have someone on staff who is truly knowledgeable about each animal you're considering. Their livestock is pretty impressive in terms of variation as well.If I had to dredge up complaints, the store is a bit cluttered, with some items left unpriced. This is in part because they simply stock more things than their space can handle. I would MUCH rather a shop like this, cluttered for us human visitors while giving each animal the space they need, as opposed to a wide open Petco torturing bettas in tiny cups.My second complaint, and I promise I won't spin this one as a positive too, is that some of the employees occasionally come across as a bit unprofessional. Not rude, just like they're not willing to do what needs to be done to help you. For example I asked for the price of a product and they said they didn't know, and just searched up a price online. Then, told me the owner would likely have charged less but he wasn't in today.So if the store is reading this for advice, y'all are doing amazing! Just get those products priced properly and make sure your employees all have the tools, training, and power to assist customers to the fullest extent.”

“Had an amazing first time experience at the Central Dawgma today with our Akita, Octavia & our Dachshund, Myloe! Both of them got a much needed spa day and finished off with the cutest cookies! They had a nice variety of shampoo’s as well as a velocity dryer, and the ankle length aprons were an amazing addition keeping us completely dry. The towels were folded neatly and even had a complimentary treat on top. The dog wash also featured nail clippers, a deshedding rake, and doggy perfume. The prices were very fair which made the experience even better. Definitely recommend!”

“I absolutely love all PetSmart's. Every time I see one I have to visit. This one had a sale on betta fish. The next attraction was the cats that were there up for Adoption. They all were so beautiful..I want one but I cannot have pets where I live. Overall if your animal needs it PetSmart probably has it”

“Very friendly staff there at the pet store always friendly and ready too help doesn't make you wait long for help. I've even talked to them multiple times over the phone asking for a kitten and I've bummed out a few times but got lucky this time around once they had moved to the new location. When I walked in gave them my name they automatically new who I was witch felt great. And I received my kitten well without any complications there she turned out beautiful and amazing no fleas, no ticks, or anything and wasn't neglected because you can see that she wasn't we brought her home and she is the happiest little one there and very playful and outspoken lol thank you thank God for that pet store I absolutely love it. I've Hurd bad things before but I go based on my own judgment and it was lovely one I had and I brought a beta fish from there also and he's still going”
