Thrift Stores
“First time here, and I already love it. Warm, homey atmosphere, and the staff is sooo friendly and helpful. I loved listening to the friendly banter between themselves and other customers. It's a small store, but well-organized, and I did find a bunch of things in spite of the store's size at great prices. I've gone to much larger thrift stores and left with nothing. I even called and asked if they still had a coat I had been looking at, and the lady even put it aside for me. The employees here love their jobs, each other, and their customers, and it shows. Feels good, too, knowing that this store exists for a good cause.”
“Ladies, if you want a new look you need to go to this store. Bettina has such a special talent for knowing exactly what you will look good in. She will be honest if she thinks something doesn’t look good and picks out perfect outfits. She is also very patient. She knows exactly what you’re looking for even if you don’t! I had so much fun with her.
Oh and you can’t beat her prices either.
This year Berks County women are going to shine for the holidays all because of Thrift and Thrive!
Go. You won’t regret it ❤️”
“It is so much fun visiting this store! Yesterday I purchased a Vitantonio Waffler that was waaaay up on a top shelf. It was in the box with the directions and at first glance, I thought it had never been used. $10! The original price tag on the box (all yellowed from age) was $49.99. Looked it up on eBay and most of the asking prices were in the $40's. Tonight (after carefully cleaning) we had Belgian Waffles and creamed chicken. Yum!
During Covid I needed and couldn't find a hand mixer, but I found one at Necessities. Just fun to look around and the owner has so much personality.”
