One of the few (apparently) racquetball players left on the planet. Filed a complaint when, without discussion or warning, one of the racquetball courts was commandeered and rededicated to a locked-limited-use Yoga room. Then a lock was placed on the door of the only other court so that it wouldn’t be too noisy when the Yoga room was in use. Have come in to use the court and been informed that it can’t be unlocked because soon (in a couple of hours) the Yoga room would be in use. Now the early hours have been cut to 5:00 instead of 4:30 a.m. If the Pickleball Association is leaning on the administrators to have us join them why not just ask us?

They change the rules and the way things operate way too often, steam room is always down, hot tub always has a greenish tint. Definitely not the most sanitary place.

They should have never changed the child watch program roomThe room they are in now is way too small with not much to do. And the wait if the room is full is ridiculousI come with my child to drop and go now check in and wait for a call then get going.

We love the Y! The Warm Water Pool is great. And I like the Yoga classes. Plenty of things to do. They also have financial assistance if you need.

Great , safe, fun. EDIT: no longer a member ,mold ,flies and just filthy showers . Some people treated the pools like its their personal bath tub. I witnessed a man scrubbing himself with his hands in places he should not have been touching , alerted lifeguard and they did nothing.

Basing my rating off the experience at the childcare center alone- less than subpar. Do your own research on the childcare licensing website. Not only are the teachers involved in violations, but the program coordinator as well. They are not there to actually look out for the well-being of your child, rather just there for a paycheck. Any attempt to resolve issues is met with attitudes, secrecy, and finger pointing. Horrific experience

This is specifically for the gymnastics part. I wish I could do two different ones because the preschool class my granddaughter is in now has a phenomenal instructor who genuinely engages with the kids and teaches them basics ("Miss C") which is a definite improvement from the daytime teacher ("Miss B") who literally stands outside of the gate ignoring them making it a total free for all and griping to anyone that she "hates" teaching this class (my daughter heard her in the main office). This same young girl is now in the big gym with older (but still little..maybe 7yo?) girls and is always screaming at them and rolling her eyes. She's more interested in talking with her young helper and showing off her tattoos and ridiculous finger nails...not to mention her HIGHLY inappropriate shorts!!! I haved already told my daughter that once my granddaughter is old enough to be in the big gym, she needs to go somewhere else rather than have Miss B again. She definitely doesn't express the YMCA image and the way she acts is NOT a supportive environment for young children. I wanted to talk to someone when I was down there last week after watching my granddaughters class but there was noone at the gymnastics desk.

Not only is the workout room extremely hot - no ceilings fans or ventilation of any kind and the AC did not appear to be running - it is filthy. The equipment appears to have months of dust and grime stuck to them, especially the treadmills, as do the floors and walls. The bathrooms smell. It is a shame that a YMCA is not inspected often to correct the neglect. For the short period of time that I belonged to a nearby Planet Fitness I often saw their staff cleaning floors and equipment. I do not recommend this facility at all.

The gym is way too hot. When I get in there, I don’t even want to exert myself because it’s already hard to breathe in here. I love the facility and the machines and working out here has been great but it’s just way too hot. There are an insane amount of people in here all the time which creates a lot of heat so I’m begging.. please turn the AC on!

Facility and staff & leadership are ALWAYS AMAZING and friendly, clean, well maintained, greseeat Christian / Faith based healthy family environment.I feel obligated to add something here...after seeing people post a few negative reviews...as a retired Architect & Engineer...it takes a TON of time, energy, money and HARD WORK to run an expensive facility like this. It saddens me to read posts by people ranting about petty things. Yes,occasionally the whirlpool is down for repairs, things wear out and break. Next time instead of complaining maybe you should give a donation of your time or money vs. complain. I would be lost without the use of and access to this wonderful facility. I spent 4 years searching to find a new home that was near Codorus State Park, but ALSO moved into a new home just east of Hanover SPECIFICALLY to be close to this facility. I suggest those who post negative reviews about a wonderful facility like this would maybe learn to count your blessings, offer to volunteer your time, wipe up your own hairballs, or give an annual donation on TOP of your membership vs. sowing negativity.Peace.
