The last eight weeks of my life has been one of the best experiences I have ever had in law-enforcement training. In my personal experience, Stateline Canine had some of the best police K9 instructors that I have ever met in my 25+ years as a police officer. The instructors were very thorough and explained everything in detail in the theory/lecture sessions, and before we performed the exercises. Whenever I had a question pertaining to a certain training scenario , they were very thorough and professional. They also had an open line of communication with me. And believe me, I had a lot of questions that were answered in a timely manner. At no time were they ever ignorant or disrespectful to me or my dog. I would highly recommend the Stateline K9 instructors to police officers that take their dog training serious, and want the best education for themselves and their dog. I am looking forward to my on going monthly maintenance training , and the relationship that I have built with the staff from Stateline Canine. Again, thank you!!Respectfully,Scott A.FarallyPitcairn Police DepartmentChief/K9 Handler

Ok so we have put 3 dogs through stateline. What i can say is that our first dog was trained when they first opened by an amazing lady. Layla is such an amazing dog. She never got rid of other dog aggression but she is just the best We took brother German shepherds and they are rotten. We weren't worried given our first experience BUT it is not the same people. They offer continued classes if your dog needs retraining but what that is, they will train you. It isnt the same as them training them The pups had a lot of issues being separated from each other. We paid over $5000 for their classes. We believed they would be as amazing as layla when we got the pups through the training. My pups were pushed through to make sure they were done in 6 weeks even though they weren't ready because thats what they expect. Its also what we expected but we would have continued taking them as long as it took. We realized there was a problem having 2 pups from the same litter at the same time but they took them on and said they would get them ready. They were in no way at the same level of any of the dogs let alone out layla. I think separation would have been helpful. Not just in the building but 6 weeks for one and 6 weeks for the other. In closing i didnt feel they were professional because we were brought in on 2 occasions that they asked us to come in but they forgot or just didnt show up. Not worth it anymore. Im sure they're riding on the success of the lady that opened it. They were all trained by her but she is not watching them and correcting them etc. hopefully ya'll did your research and are able to find a place that is worth the investment because they are not worth it. If i wanted to train my dog with them i would have paid less money for that option

My puppy (whom I adopted believing he's a GSD, but I now have my doubts) is now six months old. Ten weeks ago, he started private lessons at Stateline Canine with Mykala as our trainer. To say I was frustrated with Radar is an understatement. I had just come from the trauma and devastation of losing my previous GSD, my heart dog and my soulmate, to a horrible cancer. I wasn't emotionally ready for another dog, but this puppy landed in my lap and Radar tested me in ways I didn't think a dog could. I adore dogs, I'm obsessed with them. I will choose dogs over people all day, ever day, but Radar put me through my paces and was really enhancing the depression I had sunken into over the death of my Sora, rather than helping me. It wasn't his fault - he'd been through a lot of really unfortunate, painful, traumatizing things in his short, short life before the rescue stepped in, and he lost out on a lot of critical learning moments with his mother and siblings. He was unruly and stressing out the other dog in our home to the point that it was beginning to negatively effect her. I was at a total loss, so I turned to professionals. I looked at the options listed on their website and thought I knew what I was going to choose, but Mykala listened to my story, to Radar's story, and suggested five weeks of private lessons that would then segue into day training. Ten weeks later, and I cannot, or maybe I will not, say that I have a "completely different dog". He's still the same Radar - active, energetic, playful, affectionate, lightning fast, inquisitive, and irrepressibly silly. I do, however, have an obedient dog. I have a dog that I've bonded with so much more quickly than I thought my grief would allow. I have a dog who, at six months old, is well behaved enough to stay out of his crate at night without destroying my things. I have a dog who wants to work through his training routine with me, further deepening our bond. Mykala and the team of trainers at Stateline Canine have worked so hard to educate me and coax out all of Radar's best qualities. I used to only see Radar's best traits through a foggy mirror, in fleeting glances out of the corner of my eye. Mykala didn't just wipe off that mirror - she moved it aside, guiding Radar around it and letting him sit in the spotlight. He is so eager to do the right thing and to work with me. Make no mistake, though: Mykala trained Radar, but she taught and educated me. Our lessons were part working with Radar hands-on, and part talking through it all. She listened with infinite patience to every trouble or concern I brought to the table, asked questions to clarify, presented scenarios, and walked me through the way Radar's brain was working. She knows why he does the things he does, how he comes to his conclusions, and how I can best navigate his fuzzy little thoughts. Thanks to Mykala and the trainers at Stateline, I am now better equipped to continue Radar's training at home. I have a better understanding of canine obedience and I no longer get so helplessly frustrated with him. He's not perfect, and I will never expect perfection from him, but I can continue to work with him daily without feeling like I'm attempting to train a brick to tap dance. Mykala and Stateline trained my dog, yes. More importantly, whether they know it or not, they brought me some desperately needed peace. Through training, I've bonded with Radar and I will continue to do so. That is my peace. In my mind, that's the bottom line, and the most important thing I've walked away from Stateline with: a closer bond with my dog and the tools to continue to build on the absolutely rock-solid foundation they've created. I cannot recommend them enough. If you're seeking training for your dog, and you're not sure who to go to or what to do, let me be the little voice in your ear. Call Stateline. You'll get so much more than just an obedient dog from them.

Super bad experience doing a consult with a guy named Ty. Was supposed to meet with a Chris, but he overbooked himself. Ty did no evaluation of my dog, just sat and listened to what I said (why'd I have to bring my dog in then? Why not just do it over the phone?), and then quoted me a 6 week training program that did not address any of the goals I had. When I called him out on that, he got short and said "We're not the training facility for you." No kidding, Ty. Not sure what their qualifications are or anything like that because he never went over anything. No qualifications, no actual behavioral evaluation, and then an expensive and ill-thought out plan of action. Seems like they might just be a good fit for working canines like police and search and rescues. Seemed a little in over their heads for dogs looking for behavioral mods.

i have a three year old german shepard that was out of control and didn’t have any dog friends. we took a refresher course with chris and the change in luna is unbelievable. she lays down at my feet when i cook. comes when calls and even walks are starting to be fun not a chore. the best part is she has made her first friend. This is the best place to train your dog and have a perfect companion. thank you again.

We cannot recommend enough. We sent our puppy Stella away for a board and train when she was about 8 months old, and had a little bit of foundational training (as in she knew sit down and come) but we just wanted a little bit more structure and help with her leash training. They paired us with Ty, who also owns a bully breed and had a really good sense of how to best handle her (and her stubbornness lol). Ty did an amazing job with her and really solidified her basic obedience, while also establishing a relationship with her and making sure we knew how to keep up with her training at home. Flash forward a few months, Stella was recently attacked by another dog while with her dog sitter. When we came back from vacation to this, she was basically a different dog. She became incredibly reactive and was really struggling being outside the house. We called stateline back to set her up with some more lessons, fully expecting to have to pay for another training package. However, because their training is guaranteed, they offered to start her on some follow up lessons free of cost. Ty was also incredibly kind when talking to us about the incident, showing genuine interest in Stella'a well being and getting her back to normal. Even though Stella's current behavior had nothing to do with the quality of her first round of training and everything to do with the attack, they still were willing to help us navigate getting her back on track rather than making more money off of her. Because she now requires surgery to fix some of her injuries, we have not been able to get her back in to start this work, but we are super excited to be working with Ty again and confident that he will be able to work through this unfortunate situation with us. It honestly just means the world that they are willing to try. We drive well over an hour to have her work at stateline, and it is worth every minute. We will definitely be bringing any future dogs here, and would recommend everyone do the same!

I had been searching for a good place to take my dog Luna for training, she is a stubborn, dominant little corgi that couldn’t relax or get along with our other female dog. She barked constantly and we couldn’t get her to listen to us, things were getting stressful. I came across Stateline when looking for a good board and train program because it felt like my last resort for my little girl. We have had Luna back now for a week and it’s like they gave us a different dog! She is incredible and so much more well behaved, relaxed and happy. I cannot thank all of the trainers at Stateline enough for their hard work, especially Rachel, she sent me updates on Luna every week and kept me up to speed with her progress and what she was working on that week. We are so impressed with the facility and the trainers that we will probably end up sending our other 2 dogs there for training as well! I have nothing but great things to say about this place, we would be lost without them! Thank you Stateline for helping our little Luna!!

Highly recommend Stateline! My pup (2 year old black lab) attended the two week day camp. She knew the gist of sit and stay, but that was about it. She would constantly follow my every move in the house, beg for food, pull on walks, etc. she is now a totally different dog, thanks to Cora (her trainer)! I can now walk around the house as my pup realizes distractions are okay to happen around her and she can lay down and relax with those distractions around her. Not only that, but she walks right next to me on walks with little guidance to remind her.My favorite trick is "place". I can place her on her bed and she can absorb the things happening around her while not going wild, I can finally eat without her begging! Thanks Stateline. Thanks Cora!

I sent my pup back to school for an additional two week session for off leash recall and refreshers for other behaviors. Mykala Mantz did a fantastic job! She understood the problem and did the required behavioral adjustments to achieve the desired outcomes. Katy is like a different pup when it comes to control!

Stateline is nothing short of amazing. They are the best training facility. Ryder took to Makyala (I hope I spelled her name correctly) so effortlessly and my fiancé and I have a completely different/improved RyderBoy. We are so happy!! I will continue to recommend them to anyone!!!
