Purchased 4 new tires and paid for lifetime alignment of the vehicle in February 2022, August 2023 had an inspection done and requested alignment checked. Fast forward to February 2024 when I did a tire rotation at home, saw how worn the tires were on the inside after only 2 years, checked the receipt from August 2023. When I brought up that I requested the alignment be checked, I was told they don't just check it when its requested because the techs don't get paid for that, you have to request an alignment be done for them to look at it, not just an alignment check. Then had to pay for my alignment because they cant find records of me ever getting the 4 tires there or the lifetime alignment in February 2022. Come to find out from a former employee afterwards that Pep Boys quite often deletes records from their system. Ive already contacted corporate to see if they can find the records that this location somehow doesn't have in their system any longer.Ive attached photos of the 2 tires that were worn due to them not checking the alignment like I requested in August 2023, and now expect me to pay to replace them because they somehow cant find the records of an almost $1,000 statement for tires and lifetime alignment.Update ... After a few days I got a call that they found my work order where I paid for lifetime alignment of the vehicle, and they refunded what I paid for the alignment, but saying for the tire warranty it only had roadside, however I don't recall the specifics when I bought the tires, I do remember being told about pro-rated replacement cost based on a percentage if the tread is worn down faster than usual, but don't have that on record apparently anywhere. So I am up-ing it from a 1 to a 3 for now.

I work @ AutoZone and deal with these guys often a couple times a week. These guys are very thorough, pocket friendly, always communicate any issues that may arise in a timely manner and at this point I wouldn't go anywhere else. These days it is tough to find people that do excellent work along with being done in a timely fashion so I would recommend these guys to family/friends and I would 100% bring my personal vehicle to this location. Ask for Chuck he is a heck of a guy and so is the rest of the crew down there. Very professional.

I came in to the jonestown road store half an hour before close with an emergency. Jeff was not only able to help but found me a great deal on a tire. I wAs in and out in no time and good to go.I seriously can't say enough about the experience! Thank you.

We took my husbands car in to get looked at as the check engine light had popped on and off. The car had been running fine, but pepboys came back with an estimate of roughly $4,000 worth of repairs. We don’t know a ton about cars, but we knew that if what they said needed replaced actually needed replaced the car would have been driving poorly, and for a decent amount of time. So we took it for a second opinion. The second opinion came back at a $226 estimate. Huge difference! They’ve certainly lost our business.

At first went to tire pro across the street to get a estimate for some damage done due to bad weather amd they wanted 1400 for extra work that was not needed. So went over to pepboys and it turns out they wanted half around 688 for the work. They also got it done within hours vs it would of been a week over at tire pro. Thank you.

Pep boys took great care of us. Nicole took the time to speak to and address my wife directly recognizing it was her car not mine. This is not always the case at a car service center and we both appreciated that. Cole took the time to walk out to the car with us at the end and show us a feature on the car that was new to us. Pep boys earned our return business.

The Pep Boys on Jonestown Road Harrisburg was very slow and took incredibly long. I made an appointment for 11 am and I was told it would be at least an hour and half, so I waited in the lobby. It turned out to be 3 hours, if I was aware it would take around 3 hours and that they were behind on their appointments. I would of left and came back. They also did not give me updates unless I walked up to the front desk and asked for them, so I was sitting there with no knowledge of how much longer. Overall, I had a poor experience at this location and would not recommend.

I appreciate that they got my truck in for a oil change and emissions testing. The only thing was when i got my truck back, the gas door would not stay shut and the gas was secured.

Pep Boys on Jonestown Rd Harrisburg PA is down right pathetic and disrespectful. I was quoted one price and when picking up car was billed $200 higher. The store manager laughed in my face when I asked for an explanation on the difference. The lady Nikki refused to take accountability for giving me one rate and charging another. I continued to ask for a breakdown and the police were called. They also put a remanufactured part In my car without asking or informing me and then said I should have known it wasn't new. I'm awaiting someone from corporate to contact me back
