This store needs to close. It's been over a year since they actually restocked anything.

Except for Jen the pharmacist, everyone else is extremely rude. The last time I called in to fill a prescription that I could not fill online, the woman that answered the phone could not be anymore rude. I had also just filed a complaint with headquarters about two months ago involving Ashley, the person I spoke to was extremely upset with what happened. They even said, they were going to go visit the pharmacy and see what was going on. Obviously that did not make a difference. Then I started reading over the reviews and saw I was not the only person to have an unpleasant encounter with Ashley. I and my husband were completely taken back about the review regarding Ashley where the person who wrote the review said, Ashley told her not to give her any attitude because she has a concealed weapons permit. This alone should have been grounds for her to be terminated. This remark is in fact, a threat, one which should have been reported to the police. After reading that review, my husband and I both decided to leave this pharmacy. It definitely is not worth the stress it has entailed. Also because of the bankruptcy status which was supposedly lifted a few months ago, Rite Aid continues to have very little in stock. No sense in stopping at Rite Aid for prescriptions, then have to go to another store for Tylenol.

If I can give this Rite Aid a zero, I would. If you ask any questions in Pharmacy there is an older woman that is highly rude and yelling. I will be transferring my prescriptions to CVS. This has been the third time. There are other pharmacies in the area. They aren’t the only ones.

That was the absolute worst experience I've ever had in a pharmacy and that is the one area you should feel comfortable. Ashley is the absolute worst when it comes to customer service. When asking a simple question turns into demeaning and ignorant remarks from her is uncalled for. Talking about how she has a concealed carry so don't come at her with attitude because she will give it right back. That's completely unacceptable, especially if the customer was never rude to begin with, only after experiencing the ignorance of Ashley.

Just had an awful experience! I went to buy two high value gift cards. At first my card was declined so the bank could verify it was me making the purchase. I stepped outside to call my bank and in the meantime the associate put the cards I wanted to purchase away. When I went back in they pulled two gift cards and l paid and went home. Upon returning home I realized they were the wrong cards. I flew back to the store to get the correct ones just for the associates to tell me that they can't return gift cards and that it was basically my problem. I tried calling and messaging the main Rite Aid number to no avail. I am furious!

i've been going to this Rite Aid location for a little over a year now and i am continually reminded why i do: the staff is wonderful, the pharmacists are kind and patient, the store is always neat and clean, and if i need to find something, i have always been helped.
but i mainly go for the pharmacy. i've been burned by other pharmacies before, but NOT this one. every time i have questions or concerns, they answer all of them patiently and thoroughly without being patronising or rushed. they really do make you feel as if your concern matters, not just brushing it aside to get to the next customer. and if they cannot immediately fix your issue (meds being out, or short, or a doc's office got something inaccurate on a form), they do everything they can to smooth it out so it CAN be fixed in the shortest amount of time possible.
excellent pharmacists, excellent pharmacy associates, i definitely recommend them.

This has nothing to do with my transaction today - I always find your staff to be consistent and helpful.
What I did witness today was a full on adult temper tantrum by one of the other patrons, which occured loudly enough for the entire store, and probably the CVS across the street, to hear. A gentleman appeared, and I say appeared as I do not know full context here, that his online order, which appeared to have been made in store, was not instantaneously ready, and that when presented with the requested items he complained about a discrepancy in sale price, now mind you this was overheard between my journey from the GNC section to the greeting cards and to the paper plastics aisle, not once did I lose the ability to hear his complaints. Like this guy was irate. First at corporate, then at computers? In general I think, and then because your wifi wasn't working, to which a helpful associate pointed out that you don't offer wifi, which further frustrated the gentleman, to the point of hurling profanities and other unnecessary language to the associate attempting to help him.
The associate, Rich, handled the situation with such grace and patience, repeatedly attempted to help the customer and solve the problem, as well as explaining how the system worked at every step of the process. Having worked in a retail setting for almost a decade, I have seen my fair share of similar debacles, but I find as I age I am less tolerant of such childish and inappropriate behavior. Rich repeatedly tried to assuage the man, and de-escalate the situation, to no avail as the man's belligerence seemingly had no end, to the point of hindering his own transaction by his increasing refusal to cooperate with anyone, regardless of what they were offering.
Finally, the man stormed off with what I assume to be his much needed items, and Rich concluded the encounter by telling the man to have a nice day, which in return Rich was given one final expletive by the man as he left, got into what I would describe as an... eccentrically decorated vehicle, and floored it out of the parking lot.
Experience 10/10
Every store needs an associate like Rich.

where do I start? Several months ago I switched to this Rite Aid from the Linglestown Road store, due to multiple problems with them, answering the phone and getting a response regarding prescriptions. Now with the experience, I’ve just had at the one on Jonestown Road I’ve given up on Rite Aid completely. I received notice from them that the prescriptions that my doctor had forwarded to them were ready with an extremely high co-pay for both of the prescriptions. I subsequently tried to call the pharmacy five times and it rang with no answer, no answering machine and no other response. I then got through to the regular store clerk who tried to page the pharmacy for me, and they still didn’t answer at long last when I got through the pharmacist was insisting that she had put it through my new insurance, I explained my insurance has been the same for many years. And she was still insistent that she put it through and that was the co-pay. However, I called my insurance company the next day, and they advised they did not receive a claim for the prescriptions. Thankfully, I know a little bit about insurance and questioned it, but would have happened. Had I excepted what the pharmacist told me and paid $258 for a prescription that actually had a zero co-pay, and another $50 for one that also had a zero co-pay. Certainly makes me question the accuracy of anything from that pharmacy. The icing on the cake was that when I couldn’t get through to the pharmacy, I called rite aid corporations, customer service I was told this would be referred to the regional pharmacy manager, and to the pharmacy to respond to me. Never heard another word
