Nice hotel undergoing significant renovations. I imagine the final product is going to look really nice but, in the interim, there are some inconveniences.
First and foremost, the staff at the hotel was amazing. Every single person was friendly and accommodating. There was a big dance convention as well as several hockey teams staying at the hotel and the staff went above and beyond to help. Housekeeping was fast and responsive and the Front Desk employees were awesome.
The updated rooms are nice but on the smaller side. We were unable to find any double-queen rooms and it's really difficult to fit two adults in a double bed comfortably. The bathrooms, in particular, are cramped. If someone is at the sink, you can't be in the bathroom with them unless you're standing in the tub.
The fitness facility is currently closed and the temporary facility is essentially a treadmill and weight bench. All other fitness equipment is tarped off near the pool.
Indoor/outdoor pool is open but not really maintained. When we arrived, there were a significant amount of leaves in the pool. The biggest challenge of having a connecting pool with a courtyard is that the leaves that fall outside often make their way indoors. Fortunately, I found a skimmer and spent about 20 minutes getting the pool usable for our group. I imagine the courtyard is really nice in the summer but the indoor pool could use some TLC.
The restaurant and bar are part of the big renovation and "closed", but the staff did a nice job of creating a makeshift bar and seating area. There is a breakfast served somewhere in the hotel each morning.
The other nice thing about the hotel is its proximity to a shopping center with some eateries and a Target. We needed some odds and ends while we were here and it's about a 5-minute walk to almost anything you need.
Overall, a good hotel and I bet it'll be great when they finish the massive renovations. It's also an easy 15-minute drive to Hershey attractions.

Major renovation projects happening now to the much loved Sheraton Hershey Harrisburg Hotel, but the completed guest rooms are fabulous and comfortable, and the Sheraton Suite bedding is still the best! The wonderful Sheraton Hershey Hotel staff are all so welcoming, accommodating, helpful and amazing during this difficult renovation process. But with patience and dedication, the fantastic staff are doing all they can to continue providing the outstanding hospitality and excellent customer service experience that they are known for. A special thank you to Yolanda, Gia, Clayton, Sam & Ellise! Awesome Sheraton Hershey staff!

A quiet place for events, the package they provided was great.

We stayed here several times. We love it! This hotel will transport their guests to the Harrisburg International Airport which is 15 minutes away. Great breakfast as well as their staff members.
Walkability: Yes - lots of store and places to eat right behind the hotel.
Food and drinks: Breakfast was amazing

Beautiful property, specious rooms, well spread breakfast with live counter. Good hotel. I felt the corridor carpet had a bad odour

Rooms: Hotel under renovation and this is a problem

Where do I start? This hotel is under renovation, and it shows. The room we stayed in (renovated? unrenovated? not sure) looked tired and ugly. Only one elevator worked, slowly, so we mostly took the stairs which haven’t been swept since the early ‘70s when this place was built. Early on, I stepped on something sticky on our room’s carpet that stayed on my foot until I washed it off in the shower, whatever it was. The price I paid per night (over $200) bears no resemblance to the value of the hotel—I would recommend not paying more than $100 per night for this experience. There are always plenty of staff around the front desk area, but it’s unclear what they do for guests—last night, they had three people at the desk, two at the restaurant, and two security guards, but they appear to get paid to keep each other company. When I called this morning for a late check out, the front desk said, “we’ll do 11:30, 12,” so I said, “Ok, sounds good, we’ll be out at 12,” and she hung up without saying another word. I think that experience exemplifies this hotel—don’t expect any frills like a “you bet!” or “thank you for staying with us!” or even, “ok,” at the end of a phone conversation, because what you’ll get is a dial tone.

Renovations are going on im not sure where/when they are.. Thursday-Sunday no one working ,no noise nadda .
Our room look Renovated however there is no fan in the bathroom so within 5yrs they will have to redo it.
The indoor pool is closed no signs of it opening for awhile . All gym equipment is stacked in hallway. The outdoor pools heaters need to be turned up 5° and would have been beautiful (over heard lots complain how cold the pool was even when its in the sun all day .
I dont like thelack of security, no cameras ... anywhere like someone could hurt themselves in the pool overnight and np one know till morning.
Theres also vans that drive around scoping out cars ... i interrupted and sat in my car and watched when he realized i wasn't going away he speeds off. (White van have plates and persons face because thats how sketched out i was but again literally if something horrible happened to someone at this hotel/in parking lot no one would know or be able to help. ....
Fans need to be installed
Security system not a Security guard doing nothing but dink around at the pool (if time i saw any staff) just passing in halls the cleaning staff are very nice
Good stay fixs the kinks
Nearby activities: Across from restaurants walk across street theirs sheetz and to the back of the building theres stairs which you can walk into restaurants or shops target. Drive down the street 5 mins and there an entire street just full with restaurants.

This is the weirdest hotel I have ever stayed. They are under construction so the fitness center is now where the club should be which means there’s no club.
They charge $17 for breakfast with no allowance for people who chose Sheraton for the club level.
The entire place smells like a papa John’s pizza box.
The construction areas are completely open to guests.
The bar is just a random room with no bar.
One of the elevators is out of service but if you want to try and fix it you can because the roof access and elevator room are open at the top of stairway 3. Literally it’s propped open with a chair.
Decided to look some more. Ice machines are disgusting and they advertise HBO but don’t provide that.
Also, that’s not my washcloth, something left from the previous guest so added bonus!

We were there for a banquet for the second year and construction still ongoing.... couldn't use the indoor pool or the bathrooms in the pool area .... had to traipse through the hotel ... wet ... to use the bathroom while swimming. Most of the time no towels were available either. Very clearly posted rules for the pool area which were not enforced or adhered to, even by the staff hired to do that. There were many many children with sports tournaments in the area that were not supervised appropriately while their parents enjoyed their coolers full of adult beverages at the pool area. Our belongings kept being moved and touched by these children where we eventually left the pool area. We had 3 young children in our group (4 and under) and their parents were required , rudely I might add, to sign a waiver at check in that they would be supervised at all times. And you can bet they were not the ones taking things that didn't belong to them, running loudly through the hallways, holding up the elevators by pushing energy single button inside. The staff and security were rude and ineffective. While the room was comfortable, the TV didn't work most of the time and it took several hours to bring toilet paper. Very disappointing for a Marriott property.

Great hotel! Ive stayed here twice now. They are doing some renovations this time. But everything was quiet after 5pm and before 8am. No complaints. Service was great. But there appeared to be some sort of shortage of water bottles here. Only one was left in the room and the front desk only let me have 1 extra. I thought we could refill water in the gym but there is no water in the gym. Could be due to the renovation. This 2nd time we were here for a special occasion, they upgraded the room for us and gave us top floor. That was amazing! Super appreciative of that!

We are a flight crew and stay at Marriott properties at least 15 days a month. Today I was caught off guard by Yolanda’s rude attitude and unwillingness to help during check in. She first talked down to us when we asked about construction noise. We then asked to match each guest’s name to their Bonvoy number, she repeatedly refused. She rudely offered to call her manager in, we agreed. Thankfully he stepped in with a smile and accommodated our request. It doesn’t take much to be nice, especially in the hospitality field.

Air conditioning is so loud, it’s like I’m in construction sight.
I contacted front desk about getting different room. But unfortunately the African American chubby lady, wasn’t polite to help out. She said no room available good bye.
I had a poor sleep due to air conditioning noise.
Rooms: Noise

This was by and large one of the worst hotels I have stayed in. First of all, it is entirely overdue for renovations- it smells of mold and cigarettes in every area. My linens even smelled bad. The reason why this hotel is primarily given a one star rating is the service. I had ordered extra pillows and bedding for the sofa bed, which by the way was filled with crumbs when we pulled it out. They never came & it said delivered. When I chatted with the front desk, I was met with attitude and basically they said “well deliver it if we have it”. Theres more, but I doubt this will be read. Management seems nonexistent at this property. Big fat zero from me.
