Never in my life had I been to such a joke of a "ER Vet Clinic." The past 2 visits I had with this place were everything beyond terrible. Pooly educated staff. Communication and empathy are out the window as well. Now let me stop myself for a moment to say, I am NOT a vet. I do NOT claim to be one but I do bend over backwards and expect proper care to be done for my animal(S) when it is out of my own ability to do so myself.A few short days ago I had taken my dog in for a potential impaction, as I had known he got into some things he shouldnt have. Shores was the closest place I was able to rush him into at the time, (even though being there before wasn't pleasant, I opt'd to try again). Sobbing at the ultimatum I was given to basically go through with their $6700 to $8700 dollar surgery.. or put my dog down. The nurse kept interupting me on the phone with my financial assistance and my family to seek whatever help I could possibly get. They were "certian" that this impaction wouldn't be passable on its own and wouldn't return my dog to me until I signed one of the papers for them to get their money and for me to make a decision. Not only were they wrong about the impactions location, they had sent me what I thought were his "X-Rays" to pass on to other vets. Which I had to call and request multiple times. The first time they were sent, it wasn't his Xrays at all. It was an employee work schedule, and 2 other patients personal information with their pets payment and other attachments. To which I called yet again and was interupted to be sent his actual X-Rays.I suppose they want a law suit..To top it off, their weight scale was WAY off trying to tell me he went from 40lbs to 25lbs... He is infact over 50 as of being seen elsewhere. They perscribed unneccessary medications based on a false diagnosis. And whatever they had done that day wasn't properly explained and gone over infront of me, if at all. Said my dog was a hassel for X-Rays yet I witnessed him perfectly fine for another vet 2 days ago.. But, they were quick to collect a payment and rush us out the door!I cannot stress this enough, DO. NOT. WASTE. YOUR. TIME. AND. MONEY!!! This is a place with lack of respect, empathy and assistance. Especially for animals with a short life span based on an issue.I will never, trust my animals to be seen here again. Shores, you disgust me!

My daughter had seen one of her cats having difficulties in daily life, and this past weekend the poor kitty took an even more noticeable decline. My daughter feared it was almost time, she wanted the kitty's suffering to end.My mother found Shores Veterinary online, and made arrangementsto take my daughter and her cat there.(I live about 2 hours away, and was on my way to a previously scheduled engagement when my daughter called me.)My mother and daughter were impressed with the caring, the compassion and the patience that was shown to them in this difficult time. (Dr. Zippy was mentioned by name.) My daughter was given the time and space she needed. I cannot express my gratitude for how this was handled. Thank you.

I’ve only needed them once, over the pandemic so they didn’t allow us to go in at the time. My cat seemed to have a problem with her mouth, turned out to just be a piece of plastic she chewed on. The removed it, it’s cost $96 their office visit fee. And we were good to go. Service was quick and prompt we didn’t wait around forever. But I wish we could have gone in at the time. But that’s ok. Overall I would come back in an emergency.

For the idiot that wrote a bad review that is place is so expensive you're just looking for a bargain basement please to take your dumb animal . You obviously never had your own business or you are just unclear about how much money it takes to even run a business, think twice before you have any negative feelings because you will be slammed back by me stick to your blue light specials you you low life creep

We sadly had to put our elderly cat to sleep after a few years of treatment. They accepted us on a Sunday morning with little notice & showed us compassion & dignity

We took our doggie to Shores hospital expecting to come home with him. God had other plans. Dr. Lisa Miller and technician Kam were amazing. They showed us the upmost dignity and respect and were sensitive to our needs. If it weren't for them being so loving and caring our family would have struggled more. They continuously made sure our dog and ourselves were as comfortable as expected during this rough time. His cremation was beautiful also. A gorgeous pine box inside a velvet blue bag and in the pine box another pretty blue bag. To top it off a name tag. We are extremely greatful for their kindness and sympathy throughout the loss of our family member.

Update: paperwork says I was charged for initial stitching. Was NEVER refunded for it. And charged again obviously when they actually did the stitching. Also they told me “there seems to be a lump in her throat when they put the breathing tube in” didn’t tell me anymore than that. Now my dog has had trouble breathing ever since. My Vet says there is damage to the flaps in her throat. Says she has Laryngeal paralysis! Didn’t have this problem before taking her to shores!Took my 12yr old dog for bite wounds. Instead of stitching the wounds they glued them and they opened not even 2 days later. I called was told because it was within 7 days it was no cost. Only to be charge to have her actually stitched up this time. Which shoulda been done in the first place. Now I’m being told a second surgery may be needed because it won’t close properly. I can hear my dog crying from the waiting room because they “numbed” her to stitch it. Lies she can obviously feel everything! Please DO NOT take you animal here! You pay for their mess ups and so does your animal.

So glad to have Shore’s Emergency Vet not too far away from home. The veterinarian’s are very knowledgeable and the staff is helpful/ friendly. Other than it is a little costly, I have NO complaints at all!

I want to start this review off by thanking the staff at Shores for being kind, compassionate, and patient. We took our boy here last week already expecting the worst and it became our worst nightmare that it was his time. The nurse and doctor who had helped us through the process were so patient knowing what a difficult time it was for us. They allowed us time with our boy in a private room and didn't push us to move through the process quickly, even after our boy was euthanized they allowed us more time with him. Words truly cannot express how thankful I am for the nurse/doctor here. The compassion and apologies they shared with us weren't just because they had to it genuinely felt like they cared.

I had to take one of my cats to Shores nearing midnight. Despite having several other animals to take care of, I felt he was in good hands while there. When the time came for the vet to tell me that, unfortunately, my cat was terminally ill, there was never any pressure to run tests to further confirm what was a near certainty. Upon discharge, I was provided with the contact information of two organizations in the area which provided in-home euthanasia services, and I received very caring service through the organization which I decided to contact (Lap of Love).

The BEST staff from check in to Doctor. This office was amazing. Took such good care of our pup who had an obstruction in intestines. No one was afraid of our German Shepherd puppy and respected him for the great puppy he is, not the misconception of the breed. We can't thank this veterinarian and the ENTIRE staff enough.
