I have gone twice in the past few weeks where the post office was closed early. Today I arrived at 4:45 and all information says it should be open until 5:30. The other week I arrived shortly after 5 on a Thursday and it was also closed early.

No one picks up the phone.
I moved from PA to Florida. Did all necessary paperwork on both ends & still not getting forwarded mail.
Now 2 months later I get a letter that they canceled my request????!!!
What???

The worst place to ever go to send your packages. The customer service is horrible. The black lady does not know how to talk to customers and made the snarkiest remarks. If this is how they run the place, turn around and go find another place to go. You’ll be treated better at another place.

I understand they are short staffed. However, online says "less busy than ususal," yet noone answers the phone. My Mail Hold ended on Monday. I didn't recieve accumulated mail from the previous week on Monday, Tuesday, or Wednesday. I know that sometimes carriers have to fill in on different routes, but I can't believe I didn't get any mail after being away for an entire week.

Swatara Post Office: where customer service goes to die. Showed up today to find a vague "mandated break" sign with zero details on when it started or when it will end. Typical government efficiency—keeping us in the dark as usual.

Doors closed at 5:30 pm cannot even grab a priority mail box to pack my items or get my mail from the PO Box. Clearly this is run by lazy union workers!! These government works at just lazy.

Unfortunate that I have to give this any stars. Derry street is ALWAYS a nightmare!!! A REAL NIGHTMARE! Lines out the door - one window open.
I’m the first in line today when they open at 7:30.
At 7:42 the woman who was busy wiping down her area and sorting, scanning mail finally made it to the door to open for now 12 people in line.
Promptly she informs everyone “if you are here for stamps I can’t help you. Also, If you have any cash transactions I can’t help you either.”
I walk in and go up to her window but now have to wait for the system to reboot.
My packages are all labeled so a simple scan is all I need.
Then she informs me that the scan bar is too light on one package and it probably won’t scan.
Geez - I finally leave the PO @ 7:54
Drive to another PO - and what do you know the package scans there.
Holy wasted time.
Shameful.

1st, love this place. No issues, the 2 clerks that are always there are fun, happy, and make it a fun enjoyable visit everytime.
For those who say they are not, YOU, must have been rude, inconsiderate or just in a bad mood when you went in. Stop taking things out on these 2. They are employees and people. If you are nice they will do whatever they can to help you. If you come in rude with an attitude, well then you get what you give. Ive been there enough to see it all.
And as for Jade... lol you must be a miserable person by all your bad reviews. Just stay home, since it seems like the majority of the time you post bad reviews.

I wouldn't wish a visit to this USPS branch on my worst enemy. Every time I've had the misfortune of stepping foot inside, it's like entering a nightmare, all thanks to one particular staff member – the short-haired white lady whose demeanor leaves much to be desired. Seriously, it's 12 PM on a weekday, what's with the attitude? She's got a terrible demeanor, and her behavior is far from welcoming. The atmosphere at this place is colder than the Arctic Circle. Plus, it's understaffed, adding to the chaos and frustration. If you're looking for kindness and efficiency, head over to Camphill – their postal workers actually know how to provide good service. But here? It's like dealing with the definition of unpleasant. Save yourself the hassle and find another post office, because this one is the absolute worst. And to top it off, they often don’t even bother picking up the phones, and they randomly close without warning. It's a total disaster.
