Let's bring this one up to the current. Over the years I've been to the Whitaker Center many, many times for all three of its components. Years ago, when the children were younger the science center was fairly interesting, and they appreciated it. We've seen tons of IMAX shows here and have plans in the not too distant future to come back for the one about Ireland, since that probably about as close to going as we'll ever get.But this time it was for some theatre, specifically Fiddler on the Roof. I've been to the Sunoco Theatre for concerts - specifically Tower of Power probably six or seven times. The theatre is an excellent small space with great acoustics and truly no seat is a bad seat.Really the only turkey of the whole evening was that the show itself was less than half full. Picked up seats on the website in the front row the day before the show for a Saturday night.I mean I know that Harrisburg at night in general isn't exactly the greatest place or idea but it's not THAT bad. Hell, the meters are off after 5pm and we were able to park on 3rd Street super close no problem. They don't offer as many shows as they did maybe 10-15 years ago but any chance I get to come see something here at a non-Live Nation/Ticketmaster venue is always a-ok with me.

I was here eons ago for a movie at the IMAX theatre, and had no idea there was a concert venue on site as well. But there is, and both the sightlines and sound are great. What a pleasant surprise!

Wonderful venue for music. I don't mind driving over an hour for an artist I want to see.

Very fun for all ages!! It's a place to let your inner child out and watch the kids glow with curiosity and try new things! The space exhibit is a wonderful experience and has so many things to learn.

Man, how the mighty have fallen. Covid lockdowns ruined this place. It's empty, everything is old, gift shop is gone, sad to say I'll probably never go back there. ?

I grew up coming here as a kid and was excited to bring my son to experience it now. There are very few science things to do and the ones there are broken and run down. Highly disappointed and what a waste of money.

The website is confusing and littered with too many landing pages. Could reduce the various pages to provide an efficient way for navigating what’s there is to do there.

Great center..! Viewing shows from all seats is excellent. The sound quality is great. Will return for more shows. Easy parking and a short walk to the theater.

Everything was great until this crabby worker in a blue shirt came up to us and started yelling at us for carrying drinks and lotion into the Innovative Zone... and I understand his concerns to the equipment but we were not aware of that at the time and he just started being completely disrespectful even after we complied with his rules.......completely ruined me and my friend's experience and will not be returning. We suspect that the man who yelled at us was either racist or sexist because our entire circle of friends consists of minorities. Hate should never be tolerated. Y'all need new inclusive workers!!!! Hope that old fart learns from his mistakes.

Very good acoustics. The spacing of the rows could be more generous, there is no room to straighten ones legs.

5/5 for the throwback showings of Jurassic Park and Back to the Future on the 4+ story high digital IMAX screen. We all loved the experience and presentation, and while I've seen those movies many times your theater made it feel like the first. Please do more "throwback" movies!!!

Saw The Glenn Miller Orchestra. Nice building parking was easy. During the performance however I was interrupted 3x by staff who needed me to produce my tickets to verify I was in the correct seat!

The production of the Nutcracker was absolutely fabulous. This is first class, from the professional sets and talented dancers. We will be back next Christmas season for sure. I normally take the family into Philadelphia to the Academy of music for our Christmas ballet but we will be back to Harrisburg (sorry AOM) well done central Pennsylvania youth ballet!!!
