My buddy and I got a '57 Metro at the Owls Head Transportation Museum annual auction in August. When we got it I said, "it goes and stops" so I drove it onto the ferry boat a few miles away to take it home to Vinalhaven Island. First day, blew a brake line and started ordering parts. Lines arrived but, car wouldn't start, ordered starter. Added a distributor, regulator, and now waiting on a generator to solve the idiot light problem. Metro Parts has been wonderful to work with. Service is quick, prices are reasonable, and our one return (our error) was handled with no problems. They are good partners to have as we keep Daisy (she's yellow & white) running.

Metropolitan Parts has been remarkably efficient and responsive in all of our purchases to date related to the care and feeding of our 1957 Metro. Their online purchasing system is clear, comprehensive, and simple to use. The parts are of high quality, are accurately described on the website, and are reasonably priced in line with other sources we've checked. Perhaps most importantly, the owner responds quickly to inquiries, is helpful with suggestions, and their speed in the processing and delivery of orders is nothing short of remarkable. Highly recommended as a source for a wide range of parts for these historic cars.

There are lots of reasons why this is my first choice for Metropolitan Parts. The family feel and personal touch are huge! Pricing is comparable to the other place so what really sets Metropolitan Parts, Inc. apart are all the extras. They have a beautiful catalog, a great website with helpful information and installation advice, are communicative about shipping items, a free key fob with first order, and they reuse cardboard boxes for shipping items. These folks are hands down my favorites!

Quick delivery. The parts catalog is great. Having pictures of the parts in the parts catalog make it so easy to choose what parts are right for my car. The pictures are extremely helpful. Little added notes in the catalog are great too. Very impressed. All of the parts I ordered fit my car perfectly

I have had nothing but great service getting parts I need from Metropolitan Parts. The shipping is always super quick and the parts work great. I have lost the instruction sheet on some of the parts I have received. An email got me a new set of instructions in no time. I ordered one part that was going to require me to remove the whole dash to replace. A phone call later and I had the work around to save me hours of work. There is a Met parts supplier within an hour drive of me, but their prices are higher than having these folks ship it to me. These folks will be getting my business from now on.

Metropolitan Parts has an excellent inventory of parts. They are pleasant people to work with. My wish would be for a small inventory of used Metros in very good condition for sale. Metropolitan is always prompt and helpful. Thank you for helping preserve a segment of automotive history!

I was surprised to find out my Metro did NOT have an oil filter. I checked Metropolitan Parts and they sell a complete kit, all fittings, filter and etc. to add one. Great kit & shipped quickly.

If I could give a zero rating I would most certainly do so! After reading Mr. Denbar's experience dealing with Metropolitan Restoration Services it reminded me of my experience doing business there and how disrespectful I was treated as a U.S. Air Force Veteran.I had my 1969 Plymouth Barracuda at Metropolitan Restoration Services about five years ago. Paul, the owner gave me an estimate of 13,000 dollars to have the body work and paint done to the car. Five months later and 30,000 dollars into the project I told them that I was out of money and would be bringing a rollback to pick up the car that I drove there.Paul said that they would finish painting it as they wanted to get that much finished. After that I received a bill from MRS for 2,300 and they wouldn't release the car until it was paid so they lied to me more than once. When I was there picking up the disassembled car Jon was laughing and said he hoped the windows would fit back in. I noticed some parts were missing from my car and when I emailed Paul about it he used Profanity to me.I guess that he won't be lying to customers and swearing at them anymore :)I took my car to a real restoration garage in New Berlin and they did what they could but the body panels don't line up and probably never will! Take it from my miserable experience and avoid Metropolitan Restoration Services and find a real restoration garage!

When I bought my Metro 8 years ago I spoke with the father. I believe Paul. Wonderful experience. Thereafter I dealt with Chris and stopped using Metropolitan Parts. I recently tried to use this company again. Spoke with Chris on the phone to order a can of engine paint. I inquired about the military discount on shipping. After explaining to Chris that I had just experienced credit card fraud and had closed my accounts, changed banks and just opened all new accounts and would not purchase online with a card again he refused to give me the military discount for shipping. I politely but firmly told him I would no longer deal with his company, gave him my card number and ordered my part. That evening I received an email from Chris telling me that he will not sell to customers like me. Very rude and unprecedented in my 40+ years of restoring cars and fire engines. I emailed him requiring an apology or a poor review. To date no apology. Hence this review. He refused to send me my order telling me that he will not sell to customers like me. I am a retired Veteran. His nickle dime discount is of no significance. His refusal to understand credit card fraud and its consequences, disrespect for the military and the significance of denying the very discount he offered to a Veteran is unforgiveable. My suggestion is to buy from Metropolitan Pit Stop in California. Dr M. S. Denbar, Retired, USN
