Like mostly everyone else, we had a very bad experience. Awful customer service, mockery, bullying, name calling. Didn't feel real. We received a beautifully decorated yet burnt and inedible pound cake. We were told that's the way the come.

I ordered 5 dozen cupcakes in September 2023 for a bridal shower - champagne pink cupcakes with champagne icing, chocolate cupcakes with buttercream icing, lemon raspberry cupcakes, and apple caramel pie cupcakes. All were a huge hit, went very quickly, and everyone wanted to know where I had ordered from. So yummy! Highly recommend and I will absolutely be ordering from Lochel’s again.

At 67 years old.I am a connoisseur of butter cake In the philadelphia area and no one makes it better than Lochels! Also the best chocolate covered vanilla cream filled donuts, never lacking enough cream or chocolate, So yummy!

I have lived here for 10 years now and Lochel’s is the only bakery we go to! Their customer service is great and the owner is truly awesome. Even when she’s busy she make sure she says hi to customers. They treat my daughter who is going through chemo amazingly and we just love that. We love family owned businesses and this place has stayed amazing since I moved here!!!!

I like their desserts, but the when one calls on a late afternoon (bakeries are notoriously busy in the AM hours) and one is put on hold for close to 15 minutes - that is unacceptable. How busy could they possibly be? I hung up, called back and was told "please hold", again, and did not wait for me to talk, but simply threw me on hold, again! I hung up and frankly, will not patronize this business again. I don't mind holding 5, even 10 minutes. But just shy of 15 and then when calling back - still thrown on hold - nope. I'll find another bakery.

I had asked about a good Bakery in the area & this name was mentioned most & now I see why. The many & different cupcake varieties are what I started with as a treat & can't wait to try other things. The 2 ladies behind the counter were nothing but courteous & patient, highly recommended & will definitely be back.

We had a pound cake from Lochels for my daughter's baby shower and it tasted like flour. Owner told me to bring a sample in but that all sales are final. I brought a sample back to them and they said that is what their pound cake tastes like. Just FYI.

Absolutely horrible experience. Received a frozen cake! No apology from the owner, in fact she was rude via email as I was nothing but factual and polite. I would use another small business bakery if I were you!

This is a Bakery that seems to be thriving.They cinnamon buns are good.The dough for their donuts is second to none! Their creativity is high and the staff are friendly and courteous!They have a strong following, so don’t get worried when you see a small line outside. The line moves nicely and many of the other customers are very friendly which makes the time go by quickly.

Ok, I have read all the garbage from the negative reviews that people left about the owner and the store. If you had to deal with people like the ones leaving them reviews you would be the same way. I see nothing wrong with the owner stating fact and her own opinions after busting her ass for years to get treated like a dog from ahole customers. I have been in the place a lot since I moved to Hatboro in Jan of 09'. And I have been in there so many times to see and hear these aholes complaining about stupid sht, petty sht and uncontrollable sht. Like "wah you don't have my flavor donut" or "Jesus Christ, I had to wait outside in the cold", "helloooo is someone gonna help me!!" (While three employees are already helping other people), "It's how much? This is a rip off". Shall I go on with the bullshit the public puts these workers through? I'll bet any amount of money that the people leaving the comments are the exact entitled fkn ahole people that eff with any customer service worker at any store. I am so sick and tired of these aholes going to places, causing a scene and being at fault for said scene and then coming home to trash the place that they were the problem at. Is this owner up front and honest? Definitely! Does she take bullshit from aholes? Hell no!!!! And for me that's refreshing and I love when these type of people get back what they dish out. You see these type of people throwing fits everyday, just check social media. I have had several jobs over the years and a few in customer service. (Sears cashier, Sears Auto Service Advisor, Cook, 7-11 cashier etc etc.) The job I worked the longest was being a Corrections Officer aka Prison guard in three different level Federal prisons. But I will say I would rather run the risk of getting killed or shanked rather than have to deal with the public again. Thats how awful people are!!! To the owner....Do your thing and don't let anyone treat you like shit.... You built that place from nothing to a highly established business that people from all over the county and state come to. Keep it up!!! I look forward to seeing more social media posts and I will see you later today for the Chocolate covered strawberries. DRG

Lochel’s has some of the best cakes I have ever tasted. They definitely do a great job with all their pastries. Yes, they are expensive but ultimately, you get what you pay for. You are paying for high quality desserts.Although, I will say that some of the staff are very rude and they appear to be very burnt out both on the phone & in-person. It isn’t always a good vibe since some of the staff present such a hostile attitude.
