As much as I want to love this store, every time I come in here there is an issue. So much so, that I’ve had to call GameStop corporate offices to get answers. I went in this GameStop yesterday 9/8/23 at around 6pm. The employees in the store were Raleigh and Eagle. This is the SECOND time I’ve preordered a game from this specific GameStop (less than a mile from my home) and they sold my deposit paid pre ordered game. To make matters worse, Raleigh who is allegedly the general manager of the store was rude, careless, and did NOTHING to rectify the situation. Instead he was condescending and dismissive. It’s unfortunate because after working all day taking care of sick patients I just wanted to pick up my preordered game, go home and play the new 2K24 Mamba Edition. I even asked how do you sell something that’s preordered? He said he didn’t know? Eagle was helping us initially and Raleigh NEVER stepped in until I asked who the store manager was and he was standing there the whole time pretending like he didn’t know what was going on. He is also the same person who is listed on my receipt when I preordered. So I asked him if he could check to see who sold the game since their names are on the receipt and he said he couldn’t find out that information. I was so disappointed moreso because I asked if he could find the game specifically the Mamba edition at another store and have it shipped there. He flat out said no he wasn’t going to do that and the best he could do was return my money. Like no customer service, no trying to help nothing!! Just an oh well we sold your game so here’s your money back. I’m so disappointed and frustrated. Now I have to go searching for this game (which is what I was trying to avoid) at other stores and pray it’s not sold out as it was just released yesterday. GameStop you have to do better!! This shouldn’t happen to your customers and in the event it does, act like you care enough to fix a situation you caused

I feel that a game shop like gamestop deserves a lot of respect. One thing that impressed me the most is the selection of fantastic games. I have no complaints and I don't mind clearance games. The customer experience there was magnificent to an extent. When I got a sports game from there, it made me proud as a gamer. I wouldn't mind purchasing any game at all, not one bit. On that as far as the rating for a GameStop goes, I felt it definitely deserves a 10/10. It paints a picture of how excellent the customer service is. For good gamers who love to buy a good videogame or plenty, definitely check it out. I would definitely consider buying fantastic video games.

I went there to sell The legend of Zelda breath of the wild they had it in there and it was 60 dollars and they gave me 14 dollars but it was sealed plus I wanted back after I sold it I wanted it back but they said I'd have to buy it for full price witch is 60 dollars, honestly I'd rather go the GameStop on Mcdade Blrd

Towards the end of November, I was brought in on a referral by the regional manager in regards to being a hire at this location. I continue to the interview process of both the regional manager followed by the store manager at this location at which point just before Thanksgiving I was informed that I would contact the background check and hear something back that following Monday.. after receiving the background check, I waited till Monday heard nothing I called the store Monday evening got no answer, I called the store Tuesday morning no answer. Finally I received a phone call on Wednesday evening towards the end of the day, and the supervisor had informed me that they decided to go with another employee after already guarantee me the position.. I have worked for Gamestop on multiple different occasions in multiple different states. I've had words with them. I've had great experiences with them the benefit to it is getting the discounts on the games as well as the systems and meeting new people and being able to talk about video games that I enjoyed playing. However, this experience is the worst that I've ever experienced trying to work for Gamestop in my entire life.. $10.80 to work as a senior guest advisor at the maximum amount is what the supervisor had told me. I then said OK not a problem it's not a big deal I didn't know that I was able to transfer to different stores to help out when needed and I okayed it both the regional manager and the store manager stated yeah we want to bring you on. Yeah we want to bring you one and then on Wednesday after Thanksgiving I was told sorry we're going with someone else with no other explanation beyond that unacceptable.

Staff was kind. The issue is they advertise a 50% off clearance sale and when I try to checkout the item would only ring up at 25% off. This is exactly why I avoid retail. Classic bait and switch.

Went into the store to trade in some games without the case like I always do. Was told I needed the case in order to trade them in. Where other store in GameStop franchises allow them without the case. Very poor customer service and false information given.

The young man behind the counter was very knowledgeable and quickly pointed out the issue with my grandson’s Nintendo Switch left-side joystick...even showing my grandson the reset button he could press if the issue ever arises again. I'm very thankful for the store's help.
