I have been using Jon Lauri Hair Salon for years. The stylists are excellent. The atmosphere is friendly and fun. Terry does my hair 98% of the time. She LISTENS and does what you ask. She is excellent with color and styling. The others have done my hair when Terry could not and they all did a fantastic job. Absolutely reasonable prices and plenty of parking. Good location. It is always a pleasant and relaxing experience. You could not ask for a better salon.

When my ex-hair salon burnt my hair during a color process I desperately searched for a new salon and found Jon Lauri. Thank goodness for miracles. Jon made himself available that evening. The amazing staff (Karen) made me feel right at home. Jon knew exactly what to do. He listened to what I wanted and gave me a perfect cut. I went back 2 weeks later to fix the color and was so amazed with the outcome. Thanks Jon and Karen and the staff at Jon Lauri Salon! You’re the best!! Elaine

As an employee of the salon for 15 yrs. Our salon does take walk ins if there is a stylist available. We work 99.9% from appointments. Sometimes, like a Sarurday we do not have a receptionist. The shampooist may answer the phone. She does not typically take appointments. She may have walked around to see if someone has appointments available. Im sorry to see this bad review and missed the opportunity to make life long clients. If you ever feel in the future you would like to come in and see how the salon really works, please feel free to give me a call. Please remember its best to have an appointment.

I love this salon and the staff! I have been going here since I was a child and followed the stylists around even through a few moves because I enjoy them so much. Lovely people, styles, and service.

This salon is right up the street from our family's new home.... easily walkable at just a few blocks away. We have 3 young girls, as well as myself, and this house is our forever-home. We always love to support local businesses, esp ones that are within walking distance. The dentist up the street, ice cream parlor, the pizza parlor, the eye doctor. These are businesses that we will patronize for the rest of our lives, and we are always eager to begin building relationships with them. So, when my 3 year old daughter found herself in desperate need of a haircut, I thought it was the perfect opportunity to check out Jon Lauri. I gave them a call on a Saturday morning, and asked them if they took walk-ins. I received a polite and emphatic yes, and was told to "come on in". Unfortunately, that's where the pleasantries stopped, as my next question was to inquire about the price of a child's haircut. All of a sudden, the lady I was speaking to had to find out if they actually had space for a walk-in that day. She put the phone down... but really should have muted it, because I could definitely hear everything that was said as she proceeded to go around the room, asking her stylists if anyone would be willing to cut a child's hair that morning. Every single one of them said no! Not because they were actually busy, not because the salon only services adults, but simply because they didn't feel like it. It is not like this is some upscale establishment with an adult-only policy. The place doesn't even have a website. To arbitrarily deny a haircut based on age feels an awful lot like discrimination, and the salon should be ashamed of themselves. All around, it was very disappointing. Because of their location and the fact that they take walk-ins, I really wanted to become a regular patron. Like I said, we have 3 girls (with the possibility of more), that will all be needing haircuts every few months for the next 15+ years. If this place had been a positive experience, they would have found themselves with 4+ lifetime customers. Instead, they earned a negative yelp review and at least one family that is crossing their fingers that the place ends up under new management.
