“This was the nicest place. In the PA. Countryside. Beautiful flowers, veggies and other goods in the store. Grammies Zucchini bread was a highlight. I also tried buckeyes for the first time. Yum. We met Andrew,Lauren,Kelly and talked to Callie.”
“There's nothing else like buying fresh produce directly from the people that grow it ! Pretty decent variety of different types of peppers , tomatoes , cucumbers , potatoes, corn and watermelons ... I may have forgotten something but you get the idea . Be aware that selection can vary by time of day and number of large volume customers ( think restaurants ) sometimes there's a second picking of certain items so selection can vary week to week until fields are completely picked. Prices are excellent , over the years I have overheard some restaurant buyers trying to get a better price which pretty much doesn't happen ... the farmers costs are rising just like ours , maybe even more.”
“Heller Orchards has a great selection of apples and apple cider, along with a lot of other great things for sale! We always go to the festival in October. They have so many vendors come out and contribute to the event. Always gotta get a dumpling and cinnamon ice cream, as well as the potato pancakes! Lots of wine/hard cider vendors show up as well. The live music sets the ambience. Chainsaw carvings happen almost every hour! It is very kid friendly with bounce houses, axe throwing (plastic for kids!) and this year they had goat snuggling! I would highly recommend adding this to your fall festivities!”
“One of the few major chain super markets you cans till find chicken still on the bone.
Prices are pretty good for most items as well.
Just make sure you bring a way to carry your stuff as they dont provide any.”
