Applied for a mailbox 3 months ago have went to the office 3 times asking to please have my box assigned and I was told “for some reason your name on the list was skipped” and nothing was done! I am told I will be called and I am still waiting. I wish they had better customer service. It feels like they just dont care.

Never enough staff! It’s a very busy location and typically only one employee.

EMMA AQUINO- I had a package shipped to me with its contents stolen. It originally had 6 bags of corn flour, 6 cans of coconut milk, one can of cinnamon sticks and ginger roots. It only arrived with one bag of corn flour and the cinnamon sticks. There were signs that the seal of tape was broken and reapplied on the side of the box. When I spoke with the Hazleton office, I was responded by Kale, who said " I am not going to send people to prison because of simple corn flour and coconut milk, so I asked him if I could speak to his supervisor, but he told me that he was the supervisor. I then told him that he needed to supervise better and to handle the packages more carefully. He then said "ok, were done here" in a rude manner and hung up. I called again and he answered once more. I let him know that I could actually sue for something that's over $30. He told me that I shouldn't have been speaking to him like that. He then said "ok, were done here again". This time I didn't let him hang up as he repeated those words. And I told him that I paid extra for priority with insurance. He then became angry and once more rudely asked "do you want to speak with my boss?" (I thought he was the boss!") Finally, the boss kindly let us know the instructions on how to reclaim my food. This was how Kale should have spoken. This was terrible service by the Hazleton United States Postal Service. It is not just the contents, but the way it was managed. The way the employee of Hazleton USPS spoke was just completely disrespectful. I contacted the Main USPS and reported everything to them, after the call, my local USPS office contacted me to let me know that the way I had received the package was the same way they received it. The USPS Hazleton office customer service should be more efficient and less rude. They should know better and understand that we keep their business going. Without the clients, there is no business. UPDATE: The employee who packed the shipment that day - who happens to speak Spanish, so there is no misunderstanding since the shipper only speaks Spanish- changed my prepay label so I have to pay more money. So of course, I am now claiming that money back.PS. All the contents removed from the box were for a kid with severe food allergies. Due to the shortage of food, we couldn't find it in my area.

I'v never in my life have seen such horrible service. I moved to this town in February 2022 it is now almost July and I have still not received a key for my mailbox. I have to drive into town every time I want my mail and when I get there, they don't find it. I even had a tracking number for an item from eBay that says its in the post office and no one can find it. Was given the number to the supervisor "who of course" never picks up the phone. I almost feel like my mail is being kept hostage. I even receive electric notification when mail arrives but when I show up---nothing! I'm trying my best to do all my Business through FED EX and UPS because the Hazleton Post office is unreliable. Who do I have to talk to? Can I please get a key for my mailbox? But I guess this is the new norm and we have to put up with such horrible service. Let me guess? Not enough employees? And the ones that do show up are allowed to perform at their worst. Who's in charge there? No one is! I

The butch behind the counter is very rude. How can you have a people job when you’re rude. I told her you rudely interrupted me her exact words: I don’t really care. Go be a butcher ya butch

Staff is just superb. Long lines do not distract them from treating each customer with care as if you are their boss.Full service location handles passports too.

Great service! I had a package shipped to me on vacation but USPS could not get through the security gate, so they held it at the office. Unfortunately I had left from vacation and the wonderful employee at USPS not only answered the phone (Which my local USPS never does) but they made sure I got my package!Thank you so much!I rarely find good service at USPS (always friendly workers) but rarely good service. In this case I got both! Yay, Thank you Valerie.

First time living in the United States in 18 years and even with my address changed, receiving mail, package etc every two weeks my delivery it’s missing, a mean if this week a got a delivery, in two weeks another delivery it’s missing, I called the Usps office they asked for the tracking number and two days later the item magically appears in my mail, wow really! It never happens to me before in any other place where i have been living, what a great job this office does!

Worst of the worst. I swear they play with my mail at this office. My packages always come opened, I NEVER RECIEVE my certified mail, I always have other people's mail in my box and the customer service is terrible. The older lady that works there is just miserable. She never wants to help and acts like you're bothering her. This place needs to be shutdown and investigated. Shame on them!
