I bought a 2022 GMC Sierra from Montrose; I decided to have them apply the ceramic coating they offered. This is a costly service, and it being a dealership with a detail shop, I thought they would be reliable. Fast forward about a week, and I noticed the rain just sat on the surface. Of the truck and did not bead as it should. I called back and asked them if it was applied because it did not seem like it was, and I was told id get a customer care kit with cleaning supplies, and I did not receive those. After being put on hold, they said I could come in, and they would get me taken care of. On my only day off, I drove one and a half hours back to the dealership for them to apply the coating. I waited over three hours; it looked ok in the garage, but the truck was filthy when I drove it outside. I returned and asked how this product could be applied with all the dirt, and they said they would clean it again. I wondered how the product worked, if contaminants were on the surface, and if they should reapply the coating. The manager, Tammy, said, " I guess you are right." So again, I had to wait for a little over an hour this time. Once they were done, the truck looked significantly better, the way it should have been when I bought the truck. This was a nightmare, and now I am questioning the reliability of this place, extremely poor quality and total lack of attention to detail.

awful dealership to deal with I had the bad experience of dealing with Rachel in the service department. I attempted to get an issue resolved on my seats through an extended warranty the sold me when I bought the car new. It took over six months to get one thing fixed then they attempted to overcharge me, and I had to get the local Police involved. They are nothing more than a bunch of con artists. I would not recommend them to anyone.

I found a pre-owned Cadillac on Auto Trader that I was interested in purchasing. I called on a Friday afternoon to find out if a deal could be put together in a single trip as the dealership was almost 4 1/2 hours away. I was assured that the deal could be done and headed out the next morning. While in-route to the dealership, I sent a text to make sure the car was still available and was advised that it was. About half way there, I was sent a video of the car and advised that there was somebody else that was supposed to look at the car earlier that morning that had not shown up. My wife then sent an email advising that we were, in fact, in-route and about 2 - 2 1/2 hours away. I also called the dealership, spoke with Gage and advised him that we were on the way. He stated that it was not their policy to hold cars for anybody. I said, not even for the four hours it will take me to get there? When we arrived at the dealership, we were advised that the car had just been sold to the gentleman across the room. Long distance buyers beware. Their sales staff lacks any and all sales ethics. I didn't ask them to hold the car for days, just the four hours it would take to get there. A customer is only a source of money to them and treated accordingly. I wasted $80.00 in fuel and nine hours on the road for them to tell me they sold that car that I came to look at, but they could find me another one. No way would I do business with this bunch of stereotypical used car salesman.

TL/DR: Sales guy can't meet any expectations on delivery of car or any associated records, including misleading/false statements and information. Finance guy tries to get me to sign the title before ever mentioning or discussing rates, shames my credit score. Service department can't order the correct windshield nor find service records. I was delayed in getting my car 2+ days after purchase due to overall mismanagement and lack of care from this dealership. Everything other than my initial call to put a down payment on the car was mismanaged, misleading, and generally a mess of what seem to be lies or overall lack of care in follow-through. On the day I had arranged to drive an hour and fifteen minutes to the dealership to test drive the car, I get a call from the sales guy (when I'm already halfway there) telling me they just found a cracked windshield on the car and I won't be able to pick it up today but they will deliver it tomorrow. Not worth turning around, so I continue on my way... I test drive the car, all seems fine. We discuss price, and the sales guy is adamant they just spent $500 on service for the car plus now it needs the new windshield. Reasonable, so I go through with it with the assurance they'll provide the service records. Finance guy tries to have me sign all of the paperwork, including the actual title, without ever discussing what the rates or totals of the financing will be. When I bring it up, the rates are higher than I expect and he points to my (less than ideal) credit score and shamingly says, "well here's why." I had been unemployed for a couple months prior to the purchase so expected a dip in my score, but I did not expect that kind of treatment. Overall didn't make much of a difference on a low price car, so I continue to purchase. Delivery doesn't happen the following day, because they ordered the wrong windshield and "just can't believe" there were two different versions. They will deliver the next day... Delivery happens the 2nd day after purchasing the car, but on examination I notice it's at least 1-2 quarts low on oil. Given this is a turbo motor, that is highly concerning especially as it was just driven 70+ miles. Car was to be delivered with the service records, which obviously didn't happen. Low oil and no proof of services they "completed" means the services didn't happen... I call the dealership multiple times over 5-6 weeks before the sales guy tries telling me, "We were too busy to do the service so a shop down the street did it. I'll get the records from them this afternoon." Obviously a blatant lie... I never receive the records and when I tell the sales guy I'll be writing a thorough review he says, "You know what, go ahead! *CLICK*" This place is a joke and will do whatever they can to save money at the ultimate expense of their customers. Unfortunately I commended the sales guy on his "salesman of the month" award from a prior month. Spoke too soon... Classic "stealership" in my opinion.

I'm not local and was interested in a car they had on the lot. I had a specific question for them that would determined if I was going to make the long trip(multiple hours) to see it. I was assured the potential issue I was concerned with was not present so I made arrangements to travel. Once I arrived the issue I was concerned about was very apparent, I turned around and left. All they seemed interested in was making the sale. I've seen similar reviews elsewhere. Avoid.

Looking at a Lexus they have on autotrader. They state they will beat any price, period. I clicked the chat now option and Mike the used car manager responds. After I ask about the price we are "disconnected". I hit the chat now again and asked him about price. After a long delay he says the only one out there cheaper has major structural damage. I send him the links to both the car and the clean carfax of another car (same year, mileage, options etc). His response was, looks like a good deal. He then leaves the conversation. I try to connect again immediately and get a response that he is away from his desk. I wonder why used car salesmen get a bad wrap...Mike!

Incompetent & Shady I traveled over an hour after speaking all day with their sales team on a Nissan Rogue. When I arrived, their sales associate, informed me the vehicle was sold the night before and the customer right before me had the same thing happen to him. Sale Manager Mike Jr. said they would work with me to make this right, offered another Rogue at the same price, and told a clean CarFax. Upon evaluation the vehicle needed brakes and tires, and 3 accidents on the CarFax. I asked why Autotrader had the vehicle listed as certified. Suddenly, the offer price was no longer the price. This back and forth went on for 72 hours with Montrose's story continuing to change. I was never offered an apology. It is apparent there is a combination of complete incompetence and the promotion of shady sales schemes. Do not waste your time traveling or visiting. After reading other's reviews, there seems to be a pattern. I reached out to the GM prior to posting. The dealership informed me he would be in in the afternoon. That evening, I receive and email from him stating he is at a training for the week, but will call me the next day. As shocking as it is, I didn't receive a phone call. The definition of used car sales.

Purchased a used car was happy with the service at first until I got a starter put on my car ( paid for it myself) then told we would have thrown it in the deal but you already got it... Boy I was pissed with the games played won't buy from there again now. They still could have offered me a deal it wasn't even a week I had the car and at time of purchase we were talking about the starter so they could have said we can throw that it then not tell me after I purchase it that we were going to throw it in the deal!!!

Went to look at an SUV a few years ago, we decided we didn't like it. The salesman showed us a Pontiac Torrent that was under $15,000, low mileage, new tires, AWD. Basically everything he could tell from seeing it from where we were standing. We went to look at it and there was garbage, clothing, cigg butts all through it. He said it must of come in recently and they hadn't had a chance to clean it. My husband and I decided against it just as a guy came running out of the shop yelling at us for getting in his car. It was the mechanics car, not for sale. Went next door to Mel Grata and Got a Murano.

They had my car for 3 weeks to find out what was draining my battery. After 3 weeks, they had removed my remote starter - determining that it was that, plus a bad battery that was causing my issue. Well, I took it home, and within 2 days it wasn't starting again! I took my vehicle to another dealership in Pittsburgh (Joe Ball) - and in one day they figured it out! Montrose doesn't have a clue in their service department.

Went in to see about leasing an Encore. Very nice salesman, very helpful. They couldn't give me a vehicle with navi at the price I could pay. Put a $500 deposit on a vehicle that was in transit and due to arrive in two weeks. A week later found a Toyota that had the navi system I really wanted. Called the salesman immediately to tell him I wasn't going to take the Encore. Called him back four days later when deposit refund hadn't been processed, and he told me I had to drive the 20 miles to the dealership and present my credit card to get the refund. Three days later I drove to Montrose, learned the salesman had terminated his employment, and was treated very rudely by the sales manager. Felt like I had to fight to get my money back. Do not do business with this dealership.

December 2011 I needed an oil change for my 1991 Jeep Grand Cherokee. So I called their service department to see how much it would cost for my type of car. The receptionist told me over the phone that it would only be about $18 because I was bringing my own oil and oil filter for them to put in. So I drove my jeep there and waited in the room for them to finish. Before I paid, they brought me out to the jeep to show me what they had done. I went back inside to pay the receptionist and to my surprise they wanted over $75 for the oil change. When I told her what I was quoted over the phone, she went back outside to inquire of the mechanic. Well she came back and told me that she was sorry but the most she could give me was a few dollars off the original price because of my AAA membership. So with taxes I ended up paying $81. MY ADVICE TO YOU... Before you get any work done there by their service department make sure you are clear with the receptionist AND mechanic about the price BEFORE they do the work. Otherwise they may try to rip you off like they did me.

I went to look at a used car in December 2008. The salesman was at our car before I even got out. We walked around the lot and had some questions a car on the lot. He didn't have any answers and said that he would find out. After 15 minutes, he never came back so we left. I purchased a Toyota.
