Dr. Hohenwarter is a physician who genuinely thinks, and thinks systemically. I appreciate a specialist who doesn’t play the role of a soothing therapist, but instead does the work: gathers information quickly and accurately, connects the dots, offers clear next steps, and answers questions directly. I needed a structured, big-picture assessment and an actionable plan — and that’s exactly what I received.
I recommend him to people who want not a “pleasant chat,” but a professional analysis and real forward progress”
“My regular PCP, who is Dr. David Heeter, is at this location. I usually get wonderful service from him! He's very personable and kind-hearted, but I can't help but feel rushed. It's disheartening that UPMC schedules doctor's appointments in 15 minute increments. I don't know about anyone else, but that's not nearly enough time to see a patient, especially if the patient is only in once every six months to a year just for a checkup. The past several times I've been asked to do testing in which I feel I don't need sometimes as well which is a shame. I do appreciate that UPMC is also willing to let me see another doctor for any injury or illness if my doctor is out/booked for the day though.”

“The front staff, the nurses, the lab staff and everyone else here treats you with compassion and efficiency as soon as you walk in the door. Furthermore, I have to give props to my doctor - Dr. Meghan Reeves. She has been insanely patient with my numerous health complaints and questions, walking me through her thinking each time in a way that makes me feel truly heard. Furthermore, her breadth and depth of medical knowledge is insanely impressive! She's probably one of the best, if not the best, primary care provider I've ever had.”
