Pharmacy staff are great and go out of their way to help you. However, the parking is terrible. Please move the Pharmacy to Hope Dr or provide temporary parking for Pharmacy pick-up.

Excellent customer service and care. The med tech I worked with to get our medication filled (not our regular pharmacy) was so patient and kind. He went out of his way to get our medication ready and answer any questions. Wonderful, positive experience.

I had an appt scheduled for today (11/16) , they called YESTERDAY to tell me that the Dr wasn't available and I needed to reschedule sfter I had had the initial appt for 2 months! When I called to reschedule, they kept hanging up on me. At one point, I was on hold for over 10 mins, while I was at work! AND then the girl (who was a complete IDIOT) wanted to push it out as far as MARCH! She kept interrupting me, too. She was very rude! Why would I want to push an appt out that far if I've had the appt for over two months already?! She kept giving me dates and times that didn't/wouldn't work. She said Dec 2nd after I told her TWICE that it wouldn't work b/c I'll be out of town. These people need to get their acts together!

I've been going to Penn State Dermatology for several years, and have been very happy with the service I've received from them. The doctors I've seen are Sarah Ferguson and Dawn Sanzotti; both are very professional, and are pleasant to deal with. Wait times are generally short, and the office staff is helpful.

All they care about is bringing in as many patients as possible, racking up business and money, instead of prioritizing their relationships with patients they already have. Calling them to ask questions about anything is the most impossible thing ever, their system (meaning literally everything about penn state dermatology) is absurdly confusing and unorganized and they don't walk you through anything until you've spent so much time ripping your hair out trying to figure it out yourself that you're then spending 10 minutes on their obnoxiously long recording trying to figure out the right number you need to dial to find help getting your questions answered. To summarize, this business and how it's operated it just outrageously inconveniencing and makes me not wanna work with another dermatologist again.

I have always been happy with Dermatology and Dr.Miller is my hero for getting me out of many a pickle. But when I was referred to Mohs for a basal cell removal this past Jan. By Dr.Lam n Dr.Green ,thought it would be simple procedure. They did what was needed n I was to see a plastic surgeon for the official closing. But he was called in to the OR in an emergency. Now what ? I had gone home in the meantime ,as I had the start of a bad headache n needed to eat, that's when I got a call from Mohs, saying I should come back and they would close my open wound, not thinking much if it I did. That's when my night mare began as I sat in a chair for approx 3 hrs in sheer pain as my nose was litterly carved in my opinion ,as I was constantly injected with numbing meds n I ended up shivering uncontrollably from it. They stated it was a reaction, not because I was cold. I prayed to get out of that chair ,at the end I mentioned to them ," just because I am 68 doesn't mean I have no pride in my appearance, as I heard ok we understand. I left there with my left eye almost swollen shut n had to drive home myself, thank goodness I did not live far.Not once was I asked or told would need a driver or one to drive me home. Not once was I given options and found out later there are 9 plastic surgeon's there, so what happened to the other 8 ( were they on vacation) I learned those Dr's go for 3 yrs in surgery n a plastic surgeon goes for 12 yrs. I learned my wound was not life threatening n the closing could of waited a day or two for that plastic surgeon, but again was not given that option, I learned that what they did ,I should of been in the OR n under anesthesia period. I learned to ask more questions after this, worse day in my life n been in that much pain was ridiculous. Later I told her ,I wasn't happy about this, she stated well look at this way ,at least we got the cancer my response. Yes at what cost, your not the one to look in a mirror n cry all the time, she had nothing to say then. I was very depressed n pulling myself out slowly ,but again was told ,the feeling in my nose would take 2 months, it is now May n no I still don't ,the sides of my nose yes, the middle NO ! So if you have a wound larger then a pea......see n insist on a ,Plastic Surgeon ,pls !! I will bear these scars the rest of my life n will NEVER,NEVER go back to Moh's !!!

Sarah Hurst was the assistant that made the most positive impact on me, during my procedure. Sure, the doc was awesome for their use of a knife, but Sarah had all of the bedside manner. She made a difficult experience very pleasant. Sarah was very engaging, reassuring, and had a terrific sense of humor. Well done, Sarah!

I have used Penn State Dermatology for 15 years, and during that time have been through many Dermatologists as they frequently come and go, most staying a few years and moving on. Many years ago, they had an EXCELLENT Dr. at the Hershey Medical Ctr., but he moved on to a private practice. Since they have a lot of residents and up and coming professionals, I think this is a "stepping stone" for many. That said, the head Dermatologist at the Nyes Rd. Harrisburg is very arrogant, cold and distant. I told them I'd never want to see him again. Then, the "new" doctor I was assigned to in Hershey was very, nice, outgoing and friendly. However, she did not give me the respect of telling me what was wrong with a particular place on my skin. She said, "Oh, you've got angry skin. Angry skin!" And went on as if nothing was wrong. I tried to stop her to ask more questions but she was bouncing all over the place trying to be real friendly and just blew it off. Later, on my medical overview they send you, I see I have a diagnosis. News to me. I went back and she gave me a cream that didn't work. I went back and without asking if I was allergic to steroids gave me an Rx for a strong cream w/ steroids. Once I received it and read the data sheet, I realized I couldn't use it. She also is the physician for another person I know who told me, "She is easily distracted. I went in for a skin check, and she found something that she wanted to study and talk about, which is good, but she got so side tracked by that issue she never finished the skin check." Basically, I am fed up with this practice, gave it 15 years as I am not a frequent visitor to that department, but today I am looking through reviews in order to find a new Dermatologist that is caring and has a good bedside manner. I see from other posts, I'm not alone in this experience. This is my first Yelp review, thanks for reading.

A year ago I went to the dermatologist here after calling and being assured by the staff that it was COVERED after a $40 copayment (which I paid). I just found out they sent me to collections for $110 for the appointment. I was there for 15 minutes and got prescribed an $8 antibiotic cream. $150, really? Penn State sucks and so does their medical center.
