had a swim with Santa event up until the warm pool was closed. My kids were thrown out like riffraff without any compassion totally rude when they tried to swim for 10 or 15 minutes towards the end of the event, classic money grab without any concern I told them I was there specifically to swim at front desk they took my money at the front desk then I go over there and only the Freezing lap pool available for my two young kids.

The Y has helped me overcome Lyme disease. I was diagnosed with Lyme disease in August of 2020. I had it so bad I thought I may not live. Lyme attacked many places in my body, but one area that it really went after is my back. Lyme attacks where there is weakness and because I had a back injury in the past, I had significant back issues. In May 2021, my Lyme doctor encouraged me to find a pool to walk in so the water would alleviate the pressures in my back so I could get some relief. Listen...I could barely walk into the warm pool at the Y. I was hurting that bad. But...I kept going and going and going. In mid Summer, I started going to the lap pool and jogging in the water. I went every day. I started getting stronger and stronger. In September, I started lifting weights again...not a lot of weight, but enough to work my arms, chest, legs and back. I would workout with weights and then go to the pool to run laps in the water. I am significantly better than before. The Y has been an oasis for me to focus on getting my health back and overcoming this horrible disease. I continue to go and work out most days and plan to continue to get stronger and stronger.Thank you YMCA for existing! ...for having a place for people like me to workout every day to overcome obstacles like Lyme disease.

Prior to Feb. 10, 2020, I was swimming - exercising 4 to 5 times per week, 2+hrs. per week! I love it and it enabled me to get into better shape than I have been in so many years. Unfortunately, my insides were not doing as well. On Feb.11th I had emergency, major surgery. After I was out of ICU a doctor and 2 nurses actually told me they thought my swimming and being in good shape “Actually Saved My Life”. So thank you for my Grant you gave me. Sincerely thank you. My membership is on hold, of course. Can’t wait until you’re able to open the warm water pool and open your doors to all. Take care and be safe. Thank you, Mickie Kerr

Lots of aerobic & weight equipment! The trainer is attentive, informed & friendly! As an 'OLD' retired teacher, I greatly appreciate helpful instruction. One negative is that the basketballs need to be inflated. THANKS!
