Disheartening Experience with Firstrust Bank: A Ghosting TaleAs a seasoned Latino, Navy Corpsman Veteran, gay, and over 50-year-old job seeker, my recent experience with Firstrust Bank left me feeling utterly disheartened and undervalued. After dedicating 11 years to the banking industry, I took a brief hiatus to care for a family member. Sadly, after their passing, I eagerly sought to reenter the workforce, only to be met with a series of disappointing encounters with Firstrust Bank.I diligently navigated through multiple stages of the interview process, including a phone interview, an in-person interview where I arrived ten minutes early, and a teams/video interview. Despite my efforts, I was ultimately ghosted by Firstrust Bank, receiving no feedback or communication regarding my candidacy. As a job seeker, I understand the frustration of being ghosted, especially after investing time and effort into the interview process. However, what struck me even more was the lack of consideration from Firstrust Bank, especially considering that job seekers like myself are also potential customers. While I cannot definitively prove that factors such as race, age, or sexual orientation played a role in Firstrust Bank's decision-making process, the interview experience certainly raised concerns. The questions lacked structure and relevance, with inquiries about acquaintances from my previous workplace seeming entirely random.Furthermore, the final teams/video interview felt like a charade, devoid of any meaningful discussion about the role or my qualifications. Instead, it devolved into casual chatter about unrelated topics, leaving me questioning the sincerity of Firstrust Bank's hiring practices. It's disheartening to encounter employers who engage in "fake interviews" merely to fulfill procedural requirements, rather than genuinely evaluating candidates' suitability for the role. Such practices only serve to undermine the trust between employers and job seekers. If you've experienced similar treatment during your job search, I encourage you to speak up and advocate for change. Whether it's lodging a complaint with the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission (EEOC) or raising awareness about discriminatory hiring practices, every voice matters in fostering a more equitable workforce.Remember, job seekers deserve respect and transparency throughout the hiring process, regardless of their background or circumstances. Let's hold employers accountable for their actions and strive towards a more inclusive and fair employment landscape.

Ryan and Frank were great with coordinating with my attorney in setting up the appropriate type of account needed for a construction project.

Run! The worst customer service ever. They can never find any record of conversations or authorization docs. We mailed and faxed an authorization form for me to speak on our account. Every time I call, there's no record!

Very disappointed with the service. Received a vague letter from Ms. Carol O'Neill stating that my laid husband "may be the owner, or have interest in a safe deposit box", and he has to acknowledge it before it is drilled and content discarded. However in the branch there are no boxes and the response goes to "Attn: Community banking, Whitemarsh". Looks like a scam!

The customer service person I spoke with was nice. Isent in checks via mobile deposit and received no info that they were rejected until I browsed online a few months later. I received no reason why the deposits were rejected, and others were accepted. Now I am out over $350 unless I can get new checks cut from a family member and a national company.

Terrible lender. I'm refinancing two properties through them. 3 months later, still no closing date scheduled. I am a well qualified borrower with great credit, tons of equity and a very good DTI. I have submitted every requested document within hours of being asked for them. Each time a document is submitted underwriting puts me at the end of the line and takes weeks to review.

I've had great experiences with Firstrust Bank consistently for over 20 years. Lorna in Horsham is a terrific manager and a pleasure to deal with.

Don't deal with this bank. I attempted to get a loan with them and at one point, the loan office just stopped contacting me. 6 emails and at least phone call later, and not one person has responded my inquiries.
