The guys at Lauger saved me a world of hurt with a pre-purchase inspection for a vehicle I was considering buying. I highly recommend them for their honesty and accommodation.

After seeing all the excellent reviews of this place I thought I’d give them a try when I needed my rear drivers side window regulator replaced in June 2022. I am very sorry I did. The service I received definitely didn’t live up to the reviews. The first thing that happened was when they called to tell me the window was done they told me my front drivers side window regulator was broke now. I told them to just leave that one go and I would fix that one myself because I couldn’t afford to have them fix both at the moment. For the drivers side rear one they charged $165 for the part (which only cost about $100 in the store) and $135 for labor for a total of $318 just to fix the one window. I don’t consider that reasonable like all the reviews say. The shop I normally go to told me they would do it for about $100 less when I called to get a quote to get the newly broken front drivers side window regulator. I told Lauger’s I wanted my old broken window regulator back because it had a lifetime warranty and I wanted to exchange it at the store where I bought it to have a spare. Lauger’s LIED and told me they put the old part in my car. They kept it and I’m sure they returned it to NAPA and got more money back from it since it was a NAPA part! 16 Months after Lauger’s replaced the rear window regulator it broke and the window was stuck down. Since Lauger’s is a NAPA Auto Care Center I called them to have them replace it under the NAPA 24 Month/ 24,000 Mile Parts and Labor Guarantee. Lauger’s LIED again and told me the part is covered 2 years but labor is only 1 year. I called NAPA Corporate and confirmed that the part and the labor should both be covered for 2 years at Lauger’s and they didn’t understand why they would tell me only 1 year labor. I honestly don’t want Lauger’s anywhere near my vehicles after this because I don’t trust what they might do so I accepted their offer and picked up the new window regulator from them and installed it myself. When I took the broken window regulator out I noticed that it didn’t even match the part # that Lauger’s said they installed on my bill! This is outright fraud! I think they must have installed a cheaper part than the part # they charged me for on the bill which is why they refuse to honor the warranty. Don’t make the same mistake I did by believing the glowing reviews this place gets because it’s definitely not true. I learned an expensive lesson by putting my trust in them and will definitely not be going back and will also be telling everyone I know to stay far away from this place.

Update: The owner got in touch with me and admitted that they made a mistake and should have covered the labor to replace the defective part. He sent me a check to reimburse me for a portion of the labor that it would've cost to install the replacement part under warranty. They only reimbursed me for 1 hour of labor when they originally charged me 1.5 hours to install it. Since they sent me the check and admitted they made a mistake I am updating my review to 3 stars but I still would not trust this Garage in the future and I will not be going back to them. After seeing all the excellent reviews of this place I thought I'd give them a try when I needed my rear drivers side window regulator replaced in June 2022. My daughter is a nurse new to the area. Woke up to a flat tire at 6:30 am. We live several hours away. I called Lauger's Auto Explained the situation and they drove to the hospital retrieved my daughters car from the hospital parking lot replaced the tire and returned the car. I can't say enough about them!! They went above and beyond for us. I highly recommend them. They were timely, kind and honest. If I could give them 10 stars I would!!Service: Tires

My 17-year-old son was 5-hours from home and broke down in our 2019 VW Atlas on the side of I-81 not too far from Lauger's. After calling the two closest VW dealers I was told they wouldn't be able to even look at the car for days if I got it towed to them myself. I called another local private VW repair shop and they were very nice but were closing and were also very stacked up. They recommended I can Lauger's, and I am so glad they did. I spoke to Andrew and told him the situation. Even though they were almost about to close, he sent out their tow truck immediately and picked-up the car, and my son, from the highway. They quickly identified the problem and got my son back on the road almost immediately. I can't begin to say how grateful I am for how they went above and beyond and how sympathetic they were to our obvious concern about having our young son on his first trip far from home broken down on the highway. If I lived anywhere near this shop they would be my "go to" shop for sure!

We've been going to Lauger's Auto for a little over a year now, after leaving our old go-to mechanic in Hershey. After giving that old mechanic over 25 years of buisness, with the fairly newer ownership that occured sevetal years back, they routinely became rude to me (but not my husband) and would not allow us to stay and wait for a simple oil change. We started questioning the old mechanic's honesty and the customer care for females was obviously unacceptable. Lauger's is a completely different type of mechanic. They are friendly, honest, and get the work done as quickly and conveniently as possible. Their new waiting area is above and beyond with a clean, fresh atmosphere. Thank you Lauger's!Service: Auto maintenance

I had an excellent experience with Lauger’s who repaired my son’s car when a number of shops in the immediate area didn’t want to take it on. They were able to quickly diagnose the issues, order parts and make the repairs, all for a very reasonable cost (and in-line with their quoted estimate). Additionally, I’m located in NJ (my son goes to college in PA) and they kept me in the loop every step of the way. I highly recommend using Lauger’s !!Services: General repairs & maintenance

When a supposed mechanic tells u, yeah, they hear the noise u hear after they hear something else, which was ok. to turn around and tell ubim sorry we can't help u yet take it back to my original guy, and they figured it out. I try to give new people business but this blew my mind don't recommend them
