Had an awesome time shopping here. The staff was excellent and the store was exquisite. I have sold here before and was always told some of the items that I had that they didn't take and what was wrong with them. I greatly appreciate you guys being there especially for first time. Mom and I love the discount.

Do not sell to this location. Unfortunately I live in the north east of Philadelphia and this location is the closest to me. You can sell your items yourself for way more. I have brought several bags of nice, gently worn clothing here and have been lowballed every time I’ve sold. My most recent visit here I brought a large bag of last years winter clothing my son cannot wear this year, as well as 3 like new pair of shoes ( 2 Nike, 1 vans) still with boxes ! After deciphering through they decided to buy all 3 shoes and about 10 articles of clothing and a toy I had brought as well. . For guess how much ….. $50 and some change. I understand they need to make profit as a business however it’s so disappointing to walk through the store and see the clothing they’re attempting to sell. Not all once upon a child stores are like this ones out of state are so good!

This place is a waste of time if you want to sell anything. They want everything in brand new pristine state and even then they won’t buy it. Had multiple items today that were brand new, never worn, just washed once, and they wouldn’t take them. Brought in brand new never worn shoes and they classified them below the highest level and the other pair they said were too worn. I then went back to check the selection and the shoes they had were in worse shape! What they do take they barely give you anything for.

The workers here are INCREDIBLY friendly, helpful and kind. The one thing I wasn't impressed with were the prices. I have been to OUACs all over the country and I think this one is quite overpriced. For example, I purchased a onsies for $3.50 that sells at Walmart for $3.98. All the shirts were $5.50+ and pants were $6-$9. I know those prices are low compared to department stores but with my experience at 5 other locations, I think this one is a little pricey. The best prices were on the winter coats. I got a brand new one for 12$!**Edit to add: You can look up my purchase by my email. The onesie was a long sleeve that said "Daddy's little genius" with the tags on. $3.98 retail and $3.50 at your store. It was on the rail, not in the 10 for 10 bin.I wish I kept the receipt but as I said I was shocked by the prices. My son's jeans were all over $9. (size 6)

Always a pleasant shopping trip. Friendly staff, they always ask if I found what I was looking for. Their clothes & shoes are always in stock. And they have a selection of baby toys/gear etc. I always go here. And the prices are definitely affordable, I always recommend people to go here

Wonderful customer service! I purchased a toy kitchen but was unable to fit it in my car. The owner of the store delivered the item to my home free of charge! Super friendly staff who went above and beyond!

I can't speak for the consignment experience but as a buyer, there were good deals on high quality items and many items still had original tags. I Like the color organization method too. The book selection was also good. I love a great deal and once upon a child always delivers!

I think the organization there is Superb!! The place is clean the staff is friendly it's Awesome!! It's the first child thrift store I've ever been to and I will be going back the prices aren't bad you can find some nice things there and the clothes aren't all beat up and dingy they take their time to go through these clothes which is awesome. They have every little piece of sparkly clothes that your princess will love but when it came to like the older sizes and boys, they didn't have as much. There is more than clothes there thank goodness! My kids were having a thing about glasses and they had sunglasses , Amen.My only reason for not giving them a five stars is because I wish that it could have been a One-Stop shop but I couldn't get my son anything there except glasses and I think the isles are a little too small but I mean there's a lot of clothes there and they're organized by color and size and set I enjoyed that. Rethinking this star..

I came in with a bin of brand new toys (95%) with tags on them they only picked out 4 toys and offered $4 i honestly don’t know how they stay in business my friend came in and sold her baby rocker they gave her $10 and are selling it for $50! Please take your business elsewhere I will no longer spend a dime at this placeEdit- I did not have anything coco melon so you might have confused me with someone else, all toys HAD tags and I will be more then happy to provide pictures there was absolutely no “battery acid” on any toy due to the fact that they are NEW they did not come with batteries in them so that statement is false I get you are trying to make your “company” look good but make sure you have the right person before confusing your clients

I had a pretty good experience at this location, the only thing that I can say that I probably didn’t care for was things that were new like clothing (newborn -3mths.) and a few size 8-10 shirts brand new wasn’t even considered because some stuff was just as I packed them… but for the most part they were welcoming all except 1lady and helpful and fair I especially liked the older gentleman that I believed was the owner he took the time to explain things… overall I got $105 for my big items and shopped while I waited, maybe it’s just me but some of the items I looked through (the clothes) were warn looking when I actually bought new unworn clothes there to sale just seemed like they were more interested in the big items not the clothing, me and my husband were pleased with the trip it was worth it overall!

Went in to sell. I had a lux stroller and bedside bassinet. The bassinet had a small stain. The stroller was used (obviously). This is a second hand store, where people go to purchase second hand items. The way the staff spoke about my items turned me off so much so, that I will not return. I am doing a service by basically gifting my items to the store for another family to love and use. The money you get is nothing, which is fine - I get that. But I had a staff member say to me, "well I'm a germaphobe and a stain is disgusting". Excuse me? These are all baby items, in a second hand store. It was a washed small stain. Does no one else have babies who drool? To further the point of "germs", why on earth would this store sell second hand shoes then? To quote the staff member, that's pretty disgusting if you ask me. The stroller wheels had dirt on them, because we actually used the stroller. The staff member said "well it's not in perfect condition this was clearly loved". Good lord almighty, I am trying to give this to another family basically. I wasn't fighting in price or anything - I didn't even give a number I wanted. I was so disappointed in the condescending staff, that I won't be returning.

This store always has a great selection and awesome pricing! I've never come across anything worn out so you can tell they inspect items thoroughly. The employees are very helpful and are always happy to assist with anything you need. Sometimes items are in bins (shoes, toys, etc) but they are always labeled and the employees will gladly point you to the bin you need.

As a local bucks county childcare center owner, I am extremely disappointed with my experience today. I have advertised this franchise a million times to our families and friends, posted their flyers in my business, and about 75% of our parents have shopped here. I was treated very rudely today when it came to my first time selling items. Came out with $9.90 and gave them back some kindness with just purchasing items with the very low amount I made which essentially went right back to the business. The employees were not friendly like they typically have been in the past when it came to solely buying items. Selling was a different story today. Just some advice as a woman business owner who cares for children daily - pick and chose your employees wisely as they make or break your business. Stay humble and remember it's all about the children - our future. Please be kinder to your clients who are essentially maintaining your business. Without their merchandise, you would have nothing to sell and profit off of. I don't think I'll be returning and definitely wouldn't want my clients to have the same experience as I have.

Once Upon a Child in Huntington Valley is a hidden gem for parents looking for budget-friendly and eco-conscious options for their growing children. This store tackles the issue of expensive kids' clothing and its environmental impact.Once Upon a Child stands out by offering a fantastic selection of gently used clothing at affordable prices without compromising quality. From trendy outfits to everyday essentials, you'll find stylish and suitable options for your little ones. What's commendable is their commitment to reducing the environmental impact. By embracing the concept of reusing, they provide a sustainable alternative to constant consumption and waste.Additionally, seasonally they offer a wide variety of Halloween costumes (that double as dress-up items year round) at significantly lower prices!
