This a great alternative getaway and tucked away hiking paradise that doesn’t require a long drive from the suburbs of Montgomery County. Smaller than Wissahickon, yet plenty of beautiful views, a horse stable, and a green house garden with multiple bird feeders to watch exotic species from a few lounge chairs to relax in. Hopefully the new restrooms will open soon, but at least you’ll find porta potties. Unfortunately because of rules of preservation to protect the birds, plants, and wildlife, dogs are NOT allowed.

Loved coming here before the paths were put in but I get that more foot traffic is better for funding and stuff. They take good care of everything, no litter, no overflowing trash cans. All in all a great place to go.

Surprisingly pleasant escape from the busy suburban life \\u0026 neighborhoods. Nice to find a nature preserve so close to Philadelphia

I cycle this area often. Plenty of free parking at the trail heads. A few side trails worth checking out.

Beautiful trails and fields. But easy to get lost!! Not really very good trail markers- get a map! It was helpful that the trails are.popular and I bumped into people to get back. The other thing I didn't like is that they built these wider trails that look like they are just throwing down rocks but there's some kind of mesh under the rocks. I don't understand why theh are adding extra stuff and bring all these construction vehicles into am ecological trust. I can see wanting to maintain trails and I don't know enough to judge but it looks like they are making the trails wide and constructed for vehicles. People don't need wide stone constructed stone ways. They are not easy to walk on compared to just dirt trails. Maybe large groups can walk down them easier but it doesn't seem very ecological all these loud truck and machines building roadways in there.

I wish I lived closer to this park because I'd come all the time for birding. When I was here I saw lots of baby rabbits and deer, and I heard a ton of woodpeckers (though they wouldn't come out for me). It's nice that they have a parking lot and public bathrooms. Who needs anything else? Check it out.

Beautiful preserve with well kept trails that were well marked. A nice creek runs along some of the path and it doesn't seem to heavily trafficked. Sat by the marsh and saw a variety of birds and heard the song of the bullfrogs, was a very nice park. Will definitely be back
