Rude ignorant and my jeep hasnt been the same since the 2nd visit and b4 u ask why i wnet back it broke within a week of paying almost 400$ to (FIX) the issue!! I have a family mechanic that laughed at the labor he charged me for simple fast repairs!! If you dont no mkuch about parts and how long jobs should take and obv there are always veriables my jeep is broke AGAIN this time its going to my mech the guy i bought it off of with 78,000 miles on it! This guys is rude completely direspectful and charges double maybe even tripple what the job is worth !! should be ashamed to run scam on your own local community!!

As a college student, looking to get my car fixed isn't the easiest when you are not from the area but Mark made it easy. Mark was honest, reasonable, and quick. He communicated with my dad and I very well! I am pleased with my experience and I would definitely go back there again!

Marks Auto Service is the most professional garage I've found in Indiana. The quality of work is top notch. I'm a lifelong local to the area and have not found a better place to get my vehicle worked on.

Polite very knowledgeable about cars. Had an appointment within a day or so after speaking with them. Car was fixed same day. I will go back if I ever need a mechanic again

I have used Mark's Auto in the past and was satisfied with service. I am not happy with the recent experiences.In the summer of 2020, I dropped off my Pathfinder for lack of AC. Mark charged me about $270 to diagnose the problem. At that time, he gave me an estimate of $1040 to do the work. I asked about deducting $270 from $1040 to do the work, he replied, "I have to make a living." In short, he would have charged me $270 plus $1040. I decided not to do the work since the summer was about over. I also note here that Mark took out all of my AC coolant. I have never asked him to do this, and according other mechanics, there is no reason for doing this. Of course, this costs extra. He also stated, "There is no reason to keep the coolant."In March of 2021, I stopped by to express my disappointment in getting such a high charge for diagnosis and not getting any credit for deciding to complete the work. He informed me that he would "give me a break" for doing the AC work. In addition to this work, I asked him to replace the spark plugs and drain and replace the transmission fluid and the front transfer case fluid.Looking at the receipt, Mark charged me $1250 to do the AC work. When asked about the differential between $1250 charge and $1040 estimate AND not getting a break, he told me the increase was due to the change in the parts costs. When comparing the quote and the charge, the parts costs remained unchanged. In short, rather than giving me a break, he actually charged me about $210 more. What's also irritating is that he charged me $59.68 for Cooling System Flush which he had already done. Finally, he charged me $11.98 for air filter which I had not asked. The previous filter was new Nissan filter, and now Mark charged me to replace that with another filter. It seems he would have informed me of a need.I agree with others that Mark is a nice guy. However, the above experience is not what I had anticipated.If you decide to stop by Mark, I suggest:* Get a firm cost for any diagnostic work.* Inform him to inform you if any "additional" work that will be done, for example, replacing an air filter.

I was on a long road trip and sheered off the wheel studs at 80 MPH on the freeway. The tow truck took me a few places in town for a simple repair. This shop was the only one that said they could do it. In and out. Good job on the repair, and an I dependent business that deserves the money!Thanks again!

Mark helped me out with my car in a pinch today and was quick and his price was fair and his service was amazing. He's the only shop in this town I will take my car to because he dosnt rip you off and he makes sure your car is fixed properly! Thanks Mark!!
