I shop here a few times a week. I have a disability that currently prevents me from walking so I ride a 'old coot cart''. The guys helping with carts are wonderful, One actually saw me coming and was waiting at my parking space with one! The farts however need renewed as The run slowly, roughly or not at all. The produce is a crap shoot. Sometimes fresh, most times not so good. The produce manage however is as good an employee can be. Friendly, talkative and willing to go in the back to try to find what might be not in the bin. The pharmacy is ok. Much better than the one downtown. The management and cash register operators are usually grumpy, and seem to be stressed and not happy generally.

Their pharmacy is the worst in Indiana County! They would rather see someone die before getting them their prescription.

What a mess of a grocery store. Indiana isn't short on grocery stores, but this seems to be the favorite of many people around the area. The aisles were packed with people everywhere making it hard to shop for a particular item you may have wanted.I wanted to browse the gift card section for a bit, since I was going to be buying a gift, why not buy a gift card here to use where I was going. It was kind of like ninja moves here as everyone else seemed to be having the same idea as me. I had to move carts to look as other entitled people thought they were the only ones looking and it was their right to put their cart wherever they pleased.I finally found a gift card for a store I was going to be going to that day. Went to the front self service checkouts and proceeded to start to check out. Giant Eagle is one of the few places that allows you to purchase a gift card with a Giant Eagle gift card. I was doing just that. Well I hit a snag. I ended up doing my thing at the anti-social-registers and it made me have to go to a register to deal with an employee.Fine, whatever. When I was redoing my transaction with the employee she told me that I was just lucky enough to pick one of the few gift cards that don't let you use the self checkouts. Yay, I must of hit the lottery. After my transaction was done I wanted to use the restroom here before heading onto my next stop, but just my luck they were being cleaned. No matter what I wanted to do in here I hit a snag.

I am a frequent customer of Giant Eagle in Indiana PA. I don't have any complaints about the grocery section but had an experience at the pharmacy yesterday that made me question using that department again. The person that was there motioned me over and I explained that I was there to pick up a prescription for my husband. She was very unfriendly and barely spoke except to ask for the birthdate information. Every statement was clipped and asked in an unfriendly way. Usually, the staff at the pharmacy is very accommodating and always willing to help. This person clearly doesn't belong in her position. Her name tag said Camryn, and the receipt that was provided said that the salesperson was Megan S. Not sure if she was signed on as someone else or who she was but she does not represent your company well.

I give this business a middle-of-the-road rating because I worked here for 31 years and used to shop there a lot because of the fuel perks. But then I was forced to retire due to a balance issue and my monthly income dropped from $2000 a month to less than $1000...I was old enough to collect my full social security check and continue working as much as I wanted. But now I have to go elsewhere due to their high prices and if you type in the name Giant Eagle on the Wikipedia website you'll find some amazing facts. Although they do not compensate the employees with a decent portion of this wealth they are the 36th largest privately held company and the 49th largest retailer in the United States.Furthermore, as of the summer of 2014, Giant Eagle had approximately $9.9 billion in annual revenue. yet, people who have worked for the company for a number of years barely make enough money hourly to rise above the poverty level. After 31 years of service, I was only grossing $12,000 a year which is $800 below the poverty level. Now, I'm really below the poverty level, but I only have myself and my little Shih Tzu to worry about. It turns out Giant Eagle did me a big favor by forcing me to retire because I'm now my own boss. I loved both the bosses I had while in the Meat Department, and neither one of them was responsible for my retirement. That came from one of their bosses who didn't even have anything to do with the Meat Department, but without a union, I had no one to fight for me to help me keep my position. In conclusion, if you want to make a decent living, DO NOT work for Giant Eagle. All those billions of dollars in profit will not be passed on to their employees.

Giant Eagle is attempting to move into the future, but there are some bugs with Curbside and Delivery Service. At busy times your prices may not be accurately listed. Don't forget: "I'm placing an order for pickup next week. Why are the weekly ad prices not displayed on the website? Depending on the time of your order placement and scheduled pickup or delivery, weekly ad prices may not be displayed online. However, upon receiving your order, your final order total will reflect the current weekly ad prices." If you order Curbside Service at this busy time, there's a good chance weekly specials will be expired before your order is picked up. You may pay 10-20% more for your groceries. You are not allowed to see the next week's specials so you cannot accurately know what your prices are when you pick them up. You'd think they'd readjust the prices on your order on the app once the specials expire, but they don't.

My first Rx was miscounted by 30 pills. This was a medication that should have been counted twice. I called and felt like I was a person pharmacy hopping to get free drugs. The issue had to be referred outside the Indiana store. They finally admitted to miscounting my Rx. This pharmacy needs new management, it hasn't changed since the old store location. I have NO confidence in this pharmacy. Each person is very nice, collectively they are a disaster. I'm sorry to see such a blemish on the rest of the Giant Eagle store in Indiana.

If you want overpriced groceries from a dark, dingy and unfriendly store, shop here. There are much better stores in Indiana, PA in my opinion.
