Lancaster Yarn Shop is a cheerful and friendly yarn shop located at Kitchen Kettle Village in Intercourse, Pennsylvania. It welcomes knitters, crocheters, weavers, and other fiber-y folks from all over the world. The shop is well-stocked with a beautiful, gorgeous, and yummy selection of wool, thread, and yarn, including baby alpaca and BFL yarns in fun colors and a wide variety of colors and textures. It supports local indie dyers. The inventory is small but very smartly thought out, featuring luxury yarns, workhorse yarns, and yarns in between, offering something for everyone without being overwhelming. There are lots of sample projects on display for inspiration, which are labeled with helpful details. The shop also carries Knitter's Pride needles and hooks, plus all the necessary notions. The staff is extremely helpful, friendly, welcoming, and gives customers space. The shop offers fabulous free workshops, classes, retreats, events, and social knitting. For those far away, it is possible to shop online and join Knit Night on Zoom every week. It is a nice yarn shop and a favorite place to visit, highly recommended for any fiber artist.

I had a private knitting lesson from Wendy. It was fabulous!! So much fun and easy learning. The yarn at the shop is gorgeous. I bought the baby alpaca in fun colors. Highly recommend this shop for any fiber artist!
