If I wanted to call a call center and wait on hold 15 minutes for a representative to transfer me to my local branch to make an appointment I would bank with bank of america or another large chain. You already closed my local branch. After about 20 years of banking with my local bank I'm just going to a large chain bank. Friendly staff but not a small town bank anymore.

Crippling daily withdraw limits. In order to deposit a check written to my spouse, she needs to be there with ID.On a weekly basis purchases are declined from online vendors. Don't bother trying to order from an international website. You'll have to call them to push it through.Small town bank can't afford loses I suppose, but I can't.deal with the hassles

Peoples Bank locations make up their own policies. I can deposit my IRS checks with the friendly folks in Hereford without issue. If I try to deposit this check in Jacobus I'm told I need ID to make a deposit and that the funds from the US treasury would have to clear to become available for withdraw. Jacobus branch also refuse to take any third party checks. I have to drive to MD locations to deposit them.

I am a POAfor my grandmother and recently I was handling some business there for us and the whole process was a hassle from the cashier at the drive through window too the manager. I know every establishment has set guidelines but when they have been handling a particular situation one way then decide out of the blue that there going to be rude and ignorant about it and very customer unfriendly about it,after my family have been banking at the establishment for 50 years or more it upsetting to say the least. The icing on cake to top it off was after all the rudeness they then deposited a check for the wrong amount...off by over a 1000 dollars and withdrew the wrong amount of money as well all because they had a hard on about depositing a check that they have been depositing there for the past 8 years and today somehow was a problem. They were so concerned about making my life and my grandmothers life hard that they messed up doing the very basic of there job. I would not recommend there bank for anything other than a hard time at least until I can update on how this situation plays out and wether they apologize and fix there mistake.

I have been trying to reach someone at People's Bank, it seems as if all telephone calls are directed to one number, but no on answers. I have been on hold for 1/2 hour. I started to call at 4:30 and it is now 5:05 and the recording is telling me to hold on but I am sure no one is going to answer
