There is a certain stature and professionalism one should expect from employees working with the public. I have never seen a worse representation of that than from employee “Felix.” Need I remind said employee, the self-checkout is OPTIONAL! No one is doing you an injustice for making you stop what you are doing to run the register. I am not saying employees should be franticly happy. However, NO communication whatsoever aside from a huff is unreasonable. Develop a personality.

Most of the employees are left to run the registers by themselves with only one register open and a line going to the back of the store.

Although there is a sign prominently posted on the door, MASKS REQUIRED, the staff thinks they can do as they please.I stopped by a couple of weeks ago and found the manager talking to a clerk. After asking for what I needed (they didn't have it), it dawned on me that the manager was NOT wearing a mask and while the clerk had on a mask, she was not wearing it properly. So, especially since I'm compromised on several levels, I said, " HEY! Where's your mask?" The manager informed me he was exempt by HIPPA (sic). Being a little smart a** he said he was not required to were a mask because of "HIPPA, H-I-P-P-A(sic). D'ya ever hear of the HippAcratic Oath (sic)?" the moron asked.Well, I figured why waste time with this moron, but going through the door with the "MASKS REQUIRED" sign I had to take a parting shot.I thought I was done with that j**** but as I backed my car out of its slot, the little creep was at my window threatening and insulting me, even put down my car ( a MINT condition, 1993 Volvo 240 5-speed).I stopped the car and told him at even twice his age, a little p**** like him didn't scare me. When I got out of the car, he just stood there; I guess he realized he was screwing with the wrong old guy. Moral of the story, don't go there, Dollar General has little regard for customers during these dangerous times. At least they are consistent. A short while ago, Dollar General closed one of their local stores for extermination when rat turds were found residing on the goods. It's up to us, if a business doesn't enforce the mask wearing directive, find one which does.
