Brought my 6 month old Kitty into be tested for FIV. The tech ask why? I had taken (kitty) to a Real Vet, in October due to inflamed gum/ not eating. The Vet said she probably had FIV, due to her not seeing any cat that had that degree of inflamed gums. She also wasn’t eating. The Vet gave me an antinflamatory. She said it could have been from teething. My kitty did get better. I took kitty into Vetco, Johnstown PA. To be tested for FIV. The (Vet) said kitties gums were inflamed. She said maybe kitty had been chewing on electrical cords! Are you kidding me? Electrical cords. This Vet has blonde hair and is not young. I will NEVER go back, EVER.

My groomer was Alyssa. She did a wonderful job grooming my chihuahua. She had great customer service. My husband and I were a little upset we were going to have to wait 45 min after she was done to pick her up (store opens at 10, she was done at 9:15) but Alyssa was amazing and was able to have someone in the store check us out. Highly recommend.

Their groomers are not good with pets they're horrible, no patients at all and make fun of these loving pets. They need to be fired and replaced with people who care about and love pets!!!!

I had the most amazing experience today with the Petco of Johnstown staff! My Husky, Kenu lost both of his brothers within a few months and quit eating. No matter what I tried, I couldn’t get him to eat. I spoke with Brooklyn and she suggested that I bring Kenu in to try some samples. Of course, Kenu stumped us and two other team members swooped in to help with support and ideas. They took their time with us and truly cared about Kenu. After several attempts AND after closing time, I might add, we settled on a couple different foods to try. I am happy to report that for the first time in weeks, Kenu ate a full meal!! Thank you so much to Brooklyn, her manager and the other amazing team member (Kenu loved him) for going above and beyond. You have made a customer and friend for life!

This store will no longer be receiving any of my business. Barely an hour ago, as I waited in the line to checkout, the sound of a lung being hacked out rang in my ears. I turned around to see a woman and her son whom I'll call "Linus" because of the open sores covering both of their faces. I could SEE said dripping sores because neither was wearing a mask -- not even under their chins to pretend to give half a $#!% -- and both were close enough behind me that in 13 states we'd be common-law married. "I *caaaaaaan't* wear a mask," whined Mr. Snowflake, "it's tooooooo hard to breeeeeeathe, ha ha! What do *you* think, you're going to get covid?" I asked him to at least stand a respectful distance back, and he laughs "Well, do you have a ruler?" No, said I, but the convenient "Stand here" stickers on the floor were a convenient guide. The staff's Sgt. Schultzian indifference to the entire ordeal was the last straw. Presumably the store values these folks' business more than mine because they have to come in weekly for new flea and tick collars - for themselves. I, on the other hand, shall find a competitor who values my life as much as my business.

This site sold us a guinea pig with ringworm back in April. As a result, the other guinea pig we have got it and 4 out of the 5 people in my house got it. My youngest child has been treated for it three times and now in August it came back a third time in all the exact same spots that were treated (and yes, she was even given oral and topical medicines to treat it). Our new kitten has it now too. We've been through 5 doctor appointments and now will be making another run to the vet over this. They're obviously not screening animals well enough before selling them.

Super cute stuff as far as toys and treats for my dogs and for the birthday gifts we went to purchase. The only thing that I was disappointed with was the collar and leash selection. They had nothing cute for spring or summer or for my dogs sizes. (2 pugs and a Frenchie) Staff was friendly and the store was clean and organized. I do think that there should be a grass spot for dogs to potty on instead of a rock pile. Not a fan of that
