Don't waste your time with any of the mainstream auto service places, he's worth 10 of those "certified mechanics." My Subaru was making this weird rattling noise that I couldn't pinpoint. Not wanting to spend an arm and leg at the dealer, I took my car to Midas and Tire town. What a waste of time, none of them could tell me what was wrong. I then found Derek and took it to him, and within 5 minutes of inspecting underneath the car, he found the source - a control arm bushing. He charges very reasonable prices for his fast, 5-star work too. I will definitely be taking my car to him for any future maintenance. Love his sweet doggie too!”

Tyler (the owner) fixed it up for me and didn't even charge. Said it was an easy fix. I was there, took him a good hour and a replacement part.”

I took it to a place on N Atherton Street for an estimate and they gave me a price of $1500. I called a buddy of mine to see if he could recommend anybody else to do the job, and he said, "Yeah, take it to Roan's Body Shop." So I took my car to Roan's, they put it up on the rack and looked things over. The owner said, "I can fix it, $750!!" I didn't even tell him that I had another estimate of $1500, just took it in and he quoted me that price!! That was over 30 yrs ago, and I've been going to Roan's ever since!! You can look high, low, and in between, but I can guarantee that you won't find a better shop to repair your vehicle. Whether it's something mechanical that needs fixed, or if you should happen to have a run in with a deer, Roan's can do the repairs for you at more than a fair price.”

“I scheduled a service for this past week to get a rear quarter panel dent, tail light, and a few other things fixed on my 2021 Acura TLX. The accident happened back in August and I went through these guys to have the estimate done as well as the repairs. My car was there for about 2 weeks, which i was completely fine with because it takes time to do good work, and I couldn’t be any happier with the results. This was the first time I needed body work done to a car, and they were great to work with. I wasn’t too sure how anything worked as far as the repairs, drop offs, estimates, etc. and Patrick and Lance walked me through everything and kept me up to date on the progress during the repairs. “I had my windshield replaced at the Safelite in State College. They had a coupon on their website to save $80, which made it the most affordable place to go. I have a 2013 Honda CRV, and the total cost with the coupon was $350 after taxes and fees. They had next day appointments available if I was willing to leave the car there all day, but since I wanted to wait on it, I had to schedule about a week out. I was very happy with the people I interacted with. Rich, the technician who worked on my car, was friendly and professional, and he got the job done in under an hour. I would say that the in-store service was 5 stars, but I am removing one star because of how frustrating Safelite's automated system is. You can't just call in to make an appointment. Calling gets you redirected to an automated system informing you that you can only schedule online. Also, in the week while I was waiting for my appointment, I received a variety of automated emails and texts. One message was trying to convince me that for the 'safety of my new windshield' I should spend $70 to upgrade my service to include new wiper blades. I didn't really appreciate their automated system trying to upsell me. But if you don't mind brushing off some spammy emails and texts, it's not a bad place to get a repair done.”
