I go to this post office at least 3 days out of the week, every week. Staff is always helpful, patient, and friendly. From tracking, I can tell my packages head out quickly. Great neighborhood PO! They’re currently understaffed, and have to close for lunch, but have signage to that affect.

Signage indicated the post office opened at 8:30. They didn’t open until 10. I waited an hour. There were about five or six of us waiting for more than 45 minutes for the post office to open up. One lady said she has come there multiple times only to find that the counter is closed.
When they finally did open, Those of us who were waiting showed patience and restraint when approaching the counter. No one was rude or complaining. But the man behind the counter was NOT user-friendly. He acted annoyed that he was having to deal with us. Not one word of explanation or apology for opening late.
If I could give zero stars, I would. I’ve been to other post offices in the area. Those offices have wonderful customer service And the employees Give you a smile when you walk up to the counter.

Hours are posted on the door each morning, changing daily. Today they open at 10:30 and close from 12:00 - 2:00 for lunch. They didn't open at 10:30 and they didn't come back at 2 from lunch. This is the usual here. There was a man saying he had come 4 days in a row when they said they would be open with no luck. When there is someone there,
they are usually unpleasant. Went to the post office in Avondale, there were two people at the desk and another painting the window with holiday decorations. All very happy to have my business.

I arrived at this post office with my daughter at 8:30 AM, the listed opening time, only to find the doors still locked. I knocked multiple times, and while there were employees inside, they chose to ignore me and other waiting customers. Shockingly, they even went silent when I knocked but continued talking and laughing among themselves.
This delay caused me to be late for work and my daughter to be late for school—completely unacceptable. If a business advertises an opening time, it should honor it. If there are unavoidable delays, at the very least, an employee should communicate with customers instead of ignoring them. Extremely unprofessional and disappointing experience. It stinks that this is my local post office.

I’ve always been happy with the service at this location but today went above and beyond. I had a hefty stack of books to mail out and Dave was incredibly patient and helpful.

If I could give a 0 I would. You sit in a massive line and get to the desk to deal with a lady that has the demeanor of the lady on monsters inc. you have a box and a QR code ready to go and you get to the front after a half hour for the lady to tell you that they can’t tape it and you have to get out of line and buy a 2ft tiny roll of tape for 8.99. Of all the ppl in line I was the easiest to deal with being prepared and she had some crazy attitude.

For 17 years we have had wonderful USPS delivery service with a few understandable exceptions during COVID time. But our mail person has moved on, and since then our little cul de sac has had days when no mail has been delivered, some mail has been misdelivered, and yesterday a package for me from Target was checked as delivered but it was not delivered, and I have had to take a refund from Target because the item is no longer available. It is unforgivable and inexcusable.

Considering the busy area of residents and businesses, they should keep the retail open during business hours. They close the retail door for an hour each weekday for lunch. This would be understandable if this was a one person operation, but it would benefit customers to have hours match what is listed online as the hours of operation. In addition, the woman who works the retail advised it does not matter if I place a fragile sticker on my package. She said "sorry to say, it does not make a difference". I should have know, but maybe as an employee, try to communicate things in a professional and courteous manner.
