We've done done business with GM for years and have always treated us great. It's nice dealing with a company that cares about small businesses. With last minute rentals they try and meet my needs. Greg is awesome.

The equipment worked as it was supposed to and I appreciated that it was available for the job we were doing. But before doing business with this company, be aware of the following so that you don't naively enter a contract with them without knowledge of their business practices which apparently are non-negotiable:1) The monthly rental is 28 days - 4 weeks, not an actual month from the day you pick it up to the day the contract ends.2) If you rent a 60 foot lift for their "monthly" (really 4 week) rateas I did at $2,250.20 with tax and insurance & gas or $562.55 per week and need to extend the rental for another week....the rate for the extra week will be their stand-alone one-week rental price of $896.80 with tax and insurance which is $334.25 more than the weekly rate for a 4-week rental AS IF you hadn't already paid for four weeks. They must make money at the 4-week rate or they wouldn't rent the equipment at that rate. But will not extend that rate to the 5th week to the unfortunate customer whose work crew needs a few extra days to finish the job.3) If it happens to you as it did to me and it rains 4 1/2 days during that extra week and the lift can only be used for 2 1/2 days of the 7 extra days, do not expect any extension from GM equipment corp unless you want to pay for stand-alone one-day ($320 + tax and insurance) or one week rates ($896.80) for the privilege. Too bad, so sad, your loss.4) If you wish to discuss this with someone with the power to negotiate, you'll only get to talk to a person who states, "Sorry, can't do anything for you, I don't make the rules".At least now if you do business with GM , you'll know what to expect if things don't go as planned.
