PLEASE READ THIS BEFORE CONSIDERING THIS COMPANY! We signed a contract with JM Resources based on a recommendation from our builder without realizing they had a financial relationship. The system never worked. After six months and multiple attempts to get them to fix it, we finally returned their equipment and ended their service. They then sued us for the remaining balance of a five-year-contract. Apparently, forcing people to pay for a service they never received is their business model. We have since discovered that there are national, reputable companies that can provide these services without the contractor's markup and without a punitive contract. For your own sake, please use one of them instead.

I would not recommend this company. I bought a brand new house and this was the company the builder authorized to complete work. Extremely over-priced, after market support is terrible and follow up on installation is lacking. Terrible experience with JM resources.

When did JM start charching a check fee monthly. Is this being charged to everyone. Just noticed this on my last bill. It went up by over 6% just for a "check cashing fee". Is this even legal just to appear on a bill?

I agree with others who have posted about this company. The sales staff lacks expertise and follow through on their commitments. I had an entire alarm system installed on this group and had to have them come back multiple times to correct issues with sloppy wiring, poor placement of contacts as well as missing items. The sales person told me that my system would be fully hardwired, but then, when the installers came, they said, there was no way to actually accomplish that so they had to be remote sensors.Subsequent to installation, I have called for follow up services and have been told “the sales person is very busy. So can you send her an email and maybe she’ll get back to you faster that way.“ this was after leaving a previous message a week earlier. They seem to be “over-their-skis” and not able to keep up with the customer service. In addition, they do not appear to be very well trained, and there’s no accountability. They sell you on long-term contracts, so you are stuck with them. I can tell you that as soon as possible, I will be moving away from this company.

I had an issue with my alarm system and they scheduled service for 8am the following morning. The service technician was awesome and quickly resolved the issue.

DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY!! I agree with many of the other reviews here. They put on a good presentation, but the commitment to customer satisfaction is stunningly poor. Their response to my feedback has been shockingly arrogant and unhelpful. I had planned to do lighting, sound, and full home automation. I am SOOO glad that I started with just my alarm system. It works, and is fine. I would not trust this company with anything complex or sophisticated around my home. They are not a sophisticated company. I am very surprised and disappointed. (And, I am not someone who goes on social media and writes things like this...it really has to be bad to get me to do this).

Worst Sales staff, very misleading documentation especially if you are first-time homebuyers. Would have given a negative rating if I could.We were stuck working with JM because of our builder. Andy is the worst Sales guy ever. He never explained to us any of the selections or documents we were signing off on. All discussions were insisted to be made on the phone initially, so there was no written proof of the selections we actually wanted to make. (Make sure you have written proof if you do work with these greedy people. They will ask you to show written documentation, but will not honor their word) When the builders pushed for the finalized selections, he hastily sent us documentation to sign off without giving time to review them.The docs too are very misleading, they gave us the impression that we were signing for selections what we wanted, but we were never told about the actual and hidden costs. Now we are stuck with a 5-year monitoring contract which we never wanted in the first place. There is a buyout option, but costs $1700+. And if we don't decide the course of action in the next 17 days, they are threatening to sue us, hiding behind legal terms like the money-hungry vultures they are.This is the worst company in the market, highly deceptive process and the worst and incompetent sales staff. Run away from JM as fast as you can!

So for 20+ years we had JM Resources. Overall a very nice experience, not inexpensive but worthwhile having the security and fire protection for our family, my quick estimate about $6,000 over those years in fees. We just sold our house and informed them of this and requested our service be terminated as would be customary. We got a note from their accounting team that to get out of our agreement it would cost us close to $2,000. Whatever you do make sure you have a move provision in your agreement or you will have a battle on your hands!

The best experience with Patrick the technician. He text ahead to let me know his ETA and showed up on time. He diagnosed the problem explained it fully and then fixed it. It was an awesome experience from start to finish. I strongly recommend JM Resources for all your security needs
