“Went in to turn my partner’s baby spoon into a keepsake for my mother in law. The owner was so kind and welcoming. It is only a couple weeks before Christmas and he did it within 10 minutes. Turned out wonderfully! Also, the store is filled with so many crafty Nick-nacks. If you haven’t been, go.”

“My wife and I recently went back to Switzerland and did a lot of hiking. We would hear the sound of of the cuckoo bird while hiking and I have always wanted a cuckoo clock since hearing one as a kid at my grandma's house.I found Ye Old Clock and Gift Shop online so decided to check it out. We found exactly what we were looking for. Not too mention, what a nice shop! I felt like I was somewhat back in time as the experience of shopping online has taken what I felt in the store, away.Holly was helpful in answering our questions and was pleasant to talk as well! With each hour now, I can imagine myself in the Swiss Alps with the sound of cuckoo, cuckoo!”

“I usually have a pretty good experience here, but recently, one of the employees made me feel really guilty for not “rounding up” for their big corporate charity. Apparently Me saying I don’t want to round up wasn’t enough this shaved head 17-year-old girl just kept going on and on about how it will help etc.. I told her I only donate to charities where I know 100% of the proceeds will go to charity and will not go to a big tax write off, like what the hot topic charity would do. Instead of ringing me up, I was forced to endure a bunch of guilt, tripping drama about how I should donate to children with cancer after I had already told her that I do not want to donate to hot topic for my own ethical reasons. This did not satisfy her. She kept talking and talking. I was trying my best to be polite, but my mother was there and my mother is not one to say anything but she was about to tell the girl to please just ring me up and let us leave. I feel like the interaction of ringing up two items took a total of 25 minutes. I was left feeling like she thought I was dumb, and a bad person for not donating to a big corporate Charity. Not everyone has the money to round up. but either way, my intent was to help charities, and it still was not good enough for her. When you employ people, could you please tell them not to get on their social angel drama thinking that everyone around them are stupid and do not care about the world issues simply because they don’t want to “round up”. ?”
