Holod's is a local institution that's been part of the community far longer than the 35 years I've lived in the area.
You don't have to go push a button and wait fifteen minutes to get help finding something or to answer a question. There's always someone around to help.
You can bring frames with broken windows and torn screens and they'll fix them for you.

Excellent service in every department. As soon as I walk in the door I am always greeted with someone to help me. They have incredible plants that are unique and last unlike the big box stores. Love this place!

excellent veggies and herbs at a more competitive price than Lowe's, and far better quality and variety! they have things that other garden centers do not carry, for example, curry plant and tomatillos :) they also have a decent selection of native plants such as goldenrod and rudbeckia, perfect for the garden and promoting native pollinators. thank you!

Employees are nasty besides the garden woman who was sweet and helpful with checking out. Oddly enough was outside looking at the plants when a male employee walked by giving a nasty look through the fence. Once inside to pay at the register the female employee was also very bitter. They are miserable here and would not recommend it. Having a nice time looking at trees and shrubs for the yard only to be met with rude people is not a cohesive way of conducting business. Will be going to other garden centers from now on. EDIT: the reply is not pertaining to me

Christmas is HERE!!!!!! Fully stocked with the most amazing fresh Christmas trees!! So many heights to choose from, and you pay based on the height and the color of the tag. They have wreaths of all sizes. Including this 72inch wreath for $270! They are super helpful in choosing your tree. They will wrap the tree and help load on your car too. Inside is adorned with Christmas lights for indoor and outdoor lawn light up creatures, stockings and more. Support local farms and businesses!

Great products but not satisfied with customer service. Employee assisted us with grass seed then we were looking at bbq gas grilles and as we were discussing decisions he walked away and without asking if we need anything. Appeared to be dismissive. We bought a grille elsewhere. I do plan to continue doing business with Holods but they need to train and monitor their employees.

I've shopped at their garden center many times, and I've always been happy with the selection of perennials, shrubs, and trees. They usually have what I'm looking for, and offer to order it for me if there's anything they don't have in stock right then. They always have a wide range of both ornamental plants and fruit/veggies/herbs. Also, their perennial selection usually includes plenty of native options. They are unfailingly polite and helpful.

Staff were incredibly rude. Treated me and my wife like we were suspected of shoplifting when we weighed out our own grass seed, which is self-serve. We had shopped there many times over the last several years, but likely will never return after the way we were treated.

I don't know how this business can maintain 4.5 stars. Purchased a chainsaw from them which had a faulty oiler. Took it back and explicitly stated to have it looked at under warranty. 3 weeks later, no call, finally get a hold of someone who states that the total bill comes to $80 plus tax. No explanation of why this was not covered and just that the chain was replaced (parts charge of $40 when you can buy anywhere for $20), without ANY CONSENT. Do you drop your car off at the mechanic and give them carte-blanche to perform any service and charge you? Why should this business operate any differently? But go ahead and read other reviews about this that say the same thing. You have to explicitly state "estimate" at time of drop off. How is expecting a warranty service any different?
