So woke up in a great mood last Sunday. We haven't been to Costco in a few months. So we decided to go renew our membership and go buy something fun at Costco for ourselves along with our normal bulk supplies that were running low on. Boy oh boy how naive. Little did I realize how badly this day would go. So we walk into Costco at 11. I scan my membership at the door. We walked in about 15 ft. Then I remember we need a cart. So I walk back out the door. Then my girl reminded she's hungry and I said oh no problem. Let's go get a hotdog first. So we walk into the exit. Lady checking receipts stop us. This was new. I said what seems to be the matter. She said in a very demanding voice "where are you going". I said to get some food? She goes no. You can't do that. You have to go in the front door and scan. Then walk around in the store. Then I can eat. I was like what? But wait. I did scan. And also I need to renew my membership. She said okay. I walk up to the food court. Holy cow the manager was waiting for us! She was staring at us like filthy scum of human beings. I said hey what's up? She says you told that lady you were going to renew but now you're at the food court. I said yeah I told her we were doing both probably cause we are hungry and then I wanted to go the counter cause I had some questions about my renewal. I explain to her that I did scan in. Showed her Costco card with my face printed on it. That we were hungry then gonna renew. You'd thinking I was speaking French to her. Never once considered my side of the story. I was obviously some master criminal trying to steal a 1$ hot dog. Good job manager of Costco for escalating a situation for no good reason. That manager needs to take a chill pill. Lost 2 customers for life. All because you wanted us to "walk around" before we can eat? I've been going to Costco for 20 years. One bad egg can spoil whole experience. Signed up for BJs same day.

We are out of towners, so we won't be here regularly. However, we wanted to stop in for a crockpot and ice. The only crockpot this location had was $90 not what we were hoping for but ok. Got up to the check out, and asked for a bag of ice. Much to our surprise they said they didn't carry ice. COSTCO, you all need to step up your game for the natives of Lancaster. Fort Wayne, Indiana is 20x better.

Good prices on bulk stuff, but the staff held me hostage at the front doors and made me feel like a criminal. Got a folding plastic table at the cost of my dignity.

We have been desperately trying to find a pharmacy that has our son's ADHD meds in stock because the doctor's office cannot call around for us. The pharmacist was rude when I called and asked if they were in stock. Every other pharmacy in the area was helpful, we called 24 before finding one. Costco requires the script to be sent before providing information. That doesn't help at 4:30 on a Friday when you are out of meds and the doctor closes at 5.

I’ve been a Costco member for many years, but I’m starting to wonder if it’s worth it. This particular store is always overcrowded, hard to find parking and long lines to check out.
They treat their customers like criminals, scan in, show your card, count your stuff as you leave….etc

People are great, the layout is terrible and they are far too busy for the number of checkouts available
