Kudos to Jenn in the Customer Service for going above and beyond for me today. I had received an email about my online purchase which was delivered to the Home Depot closest to my home. They were proposing to cancel my entire order for a walk-in shower kit because of an issue with one of the four pieces. After the cancellation it would not have been possible to re-order due to low warehouse stock. Jenn called the other store for me and spoke to their manager as it turned out they had all four pieces of this order on their store shelves. Without her intervention our bathroom renovation would have been indefinitely delayed. Thank you Jenn!

We took a chance with Chance (the manager) at the Home Depot and we were not disappointed. He walked us through our issues and helped get us started on our next project and looking at our project after that. Very helpful. We will be coming back. Thanks Chance!

We had a delivery issue with our new washer and Chance (the manager) helped us out, answered all of our questions, and helped us with some other items. All-in-all.. Chance was very professional and helpful.

Back to Business:Covid 19 is all but behind us.It's time to back to business or start a new one.I saw somewhere on quora that HD doesn't sell "culled lumber" I can say that at every store I have been to from Massachusetts, to Texas, to California, and Pennsylvania they definitely sell purple painted lumber at 70% off and they also sell oops paint at about $9gal. Is it hit or miss, well ya. With the lumber once the cart gets full and nobody is buying, it gets cut and thrown in the dumpster. And it's pretty unpredictable what you're gonna get so check it regularly as with the oops paint.Every time I'm in the store I check for both, which is at least once a week.I'm an artist and handyman so what i cant use to repair a railing or floor or patch i create with. If paint needs to be color matched, yes I'll have a fresh gallon mixed but if it's close or i just need a base coat something close works. If your doing a project and only need a small piece why pay full price. The other day i picked up a piece of 5/8 birch plywood for 70% off that was cheaper than regular plywood.Would i build a whole house through HD ? Probably not as you can source a truckload of dimensional lumber cheaper from a independent company that works with contractors and construction companies but for small jobs, diy"ers, and homeowners it's perfect. Same with appliances you might work a deal on closeouts or damaged (scratch & dent) but if you want top of the line well your gonna pay through the nose no matter where you go.If your there often enough ask for a pro discount depending on who you ask it could be 5-10% off your purchase.Big tip here: be courteous and ask don"t demand.

The rating is not for the quality of the product, but for a store associate trying to make me buy more than what I needed, and for wasting a lot of my time.I needed a small amount of concrete paint, about a quart, and went to Home Depot with a photo of the area where I needed to paint. I was told that they can match the color but that they can only sell me a gallon can. However, if I purchased online, I could get it in a quart. Obviously, I did not want that much paint, or to pay 2.5 times the cost, and so I went online and ordered the paint. When it came about 2 weeks later, and I took it home, the color did not quite match (perhaps because the color on my laptop was not quite what it actually was), and I went to Home Depot to return it and get the right color (made up by mind that I would buy a gallon even though that is not what I needed). I returned the online purchase (albeit with a bit of a hassle) and brought a brochure with me that had color samples. I physically matched the color with the area I needed painting and went back to the store to get the paint. I took a chance and asked the store associate who was there in the paint department if I could get a quart. He told me I could certainly get it in a quart size! Obviously, that is what I purchased. All of this, after wasting time and so much effort (not to mention all the driving back and forth). Disappointed.

I was scheduled to have a floor installation today and finish up tomorrow. The gentleman from the installation company that Home Depot uses came and were ready to work. Unfortunately they opened up the boxes to find that there are pieces missing and were unable to start the job. I called to complain but the manager insisted it was my fault for not moving everything as requested and my disabled daughter was still in the home and he refused to start the project with her here. We already made plans for her to leave and were waiting for the guys to come over so we could then head out. We never even received a call about what time they would arrive. I found out they didn't even have my number on file correctly! The project was then cancelled by Home Depot for today. The manager was rude and unapologetic nor did I receive any compensation for my missing peices. He told me they would be there when WE were ready for the project to begin. Another gentleman that called me was much friendlier. People were just inconsiderate of the fact that arrangements were made for today including my daughter staying elsewhere and me taking time off work. I deserved some sort of apology and maybe a discount for missing items. I wouldn't use Home Depot for big projects, only for buying small purchases. Hopefully they get the missing items and will start this week. Otherwise I told them I would like money back and will look elsewhere to complete project. This is the only project I will have them complete in my home. Better to ask smaller businesses.

Always find what I need... convenient and dependable. Except...Update: I still count on Home Depot for a great deal of my property renovations needs. However, I had a couple painters working on my fire escapes. Per the recommendation for metal surfaces from the in-store Behr paint rep these 2 guys bought an exterior paint and primer that did not hold up. The excuse given was "oh you didn't tell us it was a walking surface." It's a fire escape!!! The painters took a loss on the paint due to this poor recommendatiin.

I'd love this place more if I was more handy BUT that's ok because the staff here doesn't care if you are handy or not . They walk you through if you have questions and he'll yeah we did. Christmas selection is fantastic. I know I know it's October but damn it can't we all use a little happiness after what we've been through as a people. You don't need to worry about ideas in this place. As soon as you walk in the ideas start coming to you.

I PAID IN FULL $1,719.01 on Dec. 22, 2021 for a GARAGE DOOR from Home Depot. The installation was expected by Mar. 22, 2022 (which I was not happy about having to wait that long) since the door was PAID IN FULL. It is now MARCH and my garage door STILL HAS NOT BEEN INSTALLED. My wife called the Home Depot and made a complaint to the store Mgr. and was told our garage door is delayed until APRIL!!! The company Home Depot uses in Texas has delivering problems. That is NOT ACCEPTABLE! Home Depot should not take garage door orders and MONEY if it knows there’s a delay in getting the door delivered and installed. That shows Home Depot does not use companies that are reliable and it demonstrates that Home Depot is clearly taking advantage of its’ CUSTOMERS. I have waited too many months and should be REIMBURSED my MONEY for NOT RECEIVING MY DOOR. I have been inconvenienced. I DO NOT RECOMMEND ANYONE FOR USING HOME DEPOT to have a garage door installed. I’m seeking legal advice if my PAID IN FULL GARAGE DOOR IS NOT INSTALLED BY THE END OF THIS MONTH (MARCH 2022).

Ordered a playset on March 28. It was to be delivered April 16. Still hasn’t even shipped. Took 8 hours on text (yes, 8 hours) to get a “response” from an associate. They informed me they would open a case to see why there was a delay and what the status was. I was told I would hear back in 24-48 hours. Nothing. Tried texting again. This time waiting over 12 hours but still no reply. Sat on phone for over 1.5 hours and finally got someone. However, because it’s a weekend they can’t do much to “investigate”. Really??? I clearly should have spent my hard earned money at a competitor!

We've used Home Depot for decades for appliances, building supplies, everything home related. It's been one bad experience after another and tonight put me over the edge. We ordered a dishwasher, and paid over $200 for installation/parts/removal of the old appliance. We were given a four hour window and after five hours of waiting, they should up at 8:20pm. The dishwasher was horribly dented, so we refused it. I called and spoke with a manager, Chance, and was told that it happens and that I need to call the manufacturer myself to schedule a redelivery and Home Depot offered absolutely no options to make this right. Done with them!

The employees are great! But DO NOT buy a door here!! Jacob is great as far as the ordering of the door goes..but the supplier is a different story. We waited 4 weeks for a door and side lights that was over $3000.We found out the doors are made a few hours away. On the installation day I got a call from the Lancaster Home Depot that when the "installer" went to pick up the door it was 3 different colors!!!! Home Depot did not examine this door to see if it was OK. The installer who is a sub contractor noticed it was not right. I allotted an entire day for this installation and was told 1 hour before installation that it would not be installed and there was a problem with the door. After waiting 4 weeks for its arrival I was so disappointed. The manager told me that they would expedite a new door and his employee in charge of orders would be in charge of that process. I asked the manager if I would be compensated since the door was defective and I was so inconvenienced. He said I would be compensated "After" the door is installed. The door was not expedited and the guy in charge of orders did not do much to help the process. I would get automated calls from Home Depot with dates the door would arrive at the store and then I would call him to check on its process. When the door did arrive I only knew about it because I also ordered a storm door for a different area and I asked the installer when he was going to pick up it up to check to see if my door and side lights were there. The door was there but the installer could not see it to make sure it was OK. I called the guy in charge of orders and left a message as usual he never picked up the phone so I could ask him to check on my door. He called and left a message that the door did arrive and that it was in a safe place so that it would not get damaged. I asked him why he has not been checking on the door since he was given the job to do so and it was suppose to be expedited. He could not answer the question and obviously was not checking on the door. It took just as long for the expedited door to arrive as it did for the initial door. 4 more weeks!! Then I get a call from the order guy stating the installers office would like for me to come in and check the door out to see if it is Ok. I was scheduled for surgery the next day and could not go to the store to look at the door. I expressed my concern as they are the experts in doors since they sell them and they would know more about an issue with the door than myself. Installation finally happened and there were dowels missing that go into rather large holes to cover the screws. I was told by the installer that he was going on vacation and the dowels would be sent to my house and he will be back to caulk around the door after I stain the pieces of wood he put in to fill in the gaps on both sides of the door because my house settled. But this door was measured before ordered. Did my house settle in the time frame of waiting for the door??I stained the wood and caulked the very large openings all around the door to prevent my air conditioning from escaping and insects from entering my home. At the present time my door is not level and you can see the light from outside at certain areas of the frame of the door. The molding around the door inside is scarred up with tons of black marks, gouges, blobs of who knows what and splintered wood. I was told I would have to paint it. After this installation I called the manager and asked if I would be compensated for this since the door is now installed. He said he could give me a 10 percent discount!!!!!!!!!!! Unbelievable! Then I talked to the General Manager who was rude and did nothing for me. A customer is given a 10 percent discount for little things like a scratch ect.....I went through 8 weeks of pure frustration with this door and I bought my own caulk, my own paint, and will need to hire someone to weatherize this door which is filled with tons of draft areas!!!! Their 10 percent discount did not even cover these problems. Apparently my ol
