Bought two tires online to have mounted. Reasonably priced and good service. Zaid was nice and made the experience smooth. Would recommend to anyone looking for auto service.

"About an hour"
That's what the rep at the desk told me this morning at 830am when I asked how long it would take to get my 4 tires replaced with an alignment. Seems reasonable I thought. While they were at it I asked him to replace the lug nuts. Piece of cake.
An hour later they called me and gave me the price for all 20 lugs. I agreed, and went on about my day assuming they would be done soon. 2 hours after that call (3 hours running now) I called to check the progress. The rep apparently confused me with another customer and explained my tires were to be dropped off any minute now and would then be quickly installed. I got off the phone and 10 mins later the mechanic called and said the tires were done, but uh oh, a tie rod was seized and it would need to be replaced to complete the alignment. I agreed to the quote and said go ahead, and he said it would be about an hour. We're 3.5 hours since the first 'about an hour' at this point, but I'm still willing to give them the benefit of the doubt.
An hour and a half later I head in, sure that my car would soon be finished. I can see that the mechanic is JUST now installing the driver side tie rod, and hasn't even begun the passenger side yet. I explain that I need my car back ASAP as I have an appointment at another location to get my girlfriends car new tires (at jack williams, also affiliated with Mavis). He goes and gets the manager who offers to call the other location and cancel my appointment there, and that HIS shop would do her tires as well. No need to drive around. As soon as my car is done we can pull hers right in, easy peasy. I reluctantly agree and ask how long mine is going to take yet, as we need a car by 3 at the latest to go get our son. 45 mins he assures me. I sigh and go to wait for my car to be finished.
2 hours later (7 hours total now) he (the manager) finally informs me that my car is ready. When I expressed my displeasure at the misleading time estimates, he simply gives me a goofy smile, shrugs, and basically says "cars, am I right?". I explain that I dropped my car off at 830am with a quote of "about an hour" and it's now 330pm, and as his dead eyes glossed over and the drool started to drip from his gaping mouth I realized this line of questioning wasn't going to get me anywhere. Best of all, the guy who literally called another location to cancel my appointment (for my girlfriend), then pulled up a brand new quote for her to get her tires replaced at HIS location instead decided at this point it's best not to even mention it. Not a single word about getting her car done.
I'd say that he must have realized that I was so irritated at that point that he knew I would not be having any more work done at his location. I WOULD say that. But I believe that would be giving him undue credit if we're being honest. Frankly I believe that it simply slipped his feeble mind.
Not that I was too concerned by then. All I wanted to do was get my car and get out, and drive far away from that and any other Mavis that haunts central PA. Besides, by the time her car was finished my car would have likely needed new tires again as well.
I didn't even get in to how BOTH of my scheduled appointments (for my girlfriend and I) were somehow lost in the system and required multiple phone calls to the call center to straighten out. Both of them.
On Mavis' website they proudly proclaim "Taking care of customers and their vehicles since 1949". What they don't mention is that most of those customers are probably still sitting around waiting to get their cars back.

Three times a charm...
First: a leaky passenger tyre, done immediately plugged without an appointment (thx Casey)...
Second: driver side leaky two weeks later; not able to plug due to location of nail, but hey done in 30 min with new tyre, again without an appointment (Casey at the bat again)...
Third: daughter arrives from CT with tyre indicator of low pressure for some tyre; she thinks she has run-flats, nope! Casey confirms they're great types with no leaks...perhaps a faulty indicator that needs recalibration, "that'll take jest a few minutes" (still no appointment)...done and "no charge!".
Darn that was the best CS we have ever received...no appointment, immediate service, professional consultation, and completion of what needs to be done quickly... awesome four-lettered words..."on the road again!"
Thanks to the front desk folks, and type-fixers, and the indicator re-calibrator...magnificent JW-Mavis crew of Olympic status...gold ribbons well-deserved! ?

Came into shop with a low tire. It was unpatchable so they put my spare on They did all this free of charge. I ordered 4 new tires and they put them on . Very happy with the service and friendly employees.
