Hooray!! I was rooting for this place since before it opened and after terrible experiences here, I recently heard it has a new owner. I gave it one more try. All I can say is: FIVE STARS FABULOUS! Staff was welcoming and professional, food was delivered timely and hot, as were drinks. THIS is a huge win for our community. Congratulations to new owners. Excellent! (And even though I was just there yesterday, I've decided I'm coming again today for a business lunch!) Pictured here is the Curry Chicken salad, a Latte and a cup of delicious tomato soup served with a bonus mini grilled cheese sandwich! Delicious energy snacks too.

My husband and I have been going to Lampeter Cafe since they opened. We stopped in Saturday 2/1/2020 I always get the crab quiche when they have it.. love it. However, not this time. We both got it 3 slices, not made the same. What we had was egg quiche with a few droppings of claw meat on top under the cheese. We are very disappointed with our favorite place. We spent $36. on 3 slices crab quiche, cup of crab soup and 2 small drinks.... and what we got was egg quiche. So, we have decided we will not be back. They've made changes.. not the same. I used to brag about this place... what a shame.

Amazing food and service, excellent setting, you are not too close to other people so you can actually hear each other. The pioneer breakfast dish with potatoes and eggs and bacon and cheese was wonderful. Great job!

The building is pretty and inside is rather large. The fireplace didn't work upstairs which was disappointing. Workers are nice and friendly. Very attentive. Prices are reasonable. Loved the Mac stack - Mac and cheese with boneless wings on top. My mom and aunt split the brisket quesadilla- melt in your mouth yummy. I had the side salad - nothing special but decent. Definitely be back. Also tried the peanut butter pie - yummy however very sweet.

12/14 visit. The space is super cute and well decorated. At the time of my visit there were Christmas decorations up which I find very charming. Menu had many interesting choices but having eaten breakfast a little too close to lunch I went with a very basic and light option of salad and fruit. My partner had the soup sampler, boneless wings and fries. We enjoyed everything and will visit again. We ended the meal by splitting the PB pie 4 ways. Yum.

It's nice when you go somewhere that exceeds your expectations. That was the case when we visited Lampeter Cafe. If you like Speckled Hen a few miles down the road, then you'll also like this place. The connection between the two is clear, most clearly, the delicious desserts and pleasant decor. Lampeter Cafe is in a beautiful old home that has been meticulously renovated. There's seating on both floors, as well as on the patio outside. The menu is somewhat limited. I appreciate the mindset of making a handful of really good ingredients and incorporating them into a lot of the menu. There's a lot of comfort food on the menu. I was blown away by the quality of the brisket I had served over a base of Brew City Fries (glad to find somewhere that stocks them) and Carolina BBQ sauce. Other dishes tried by our party include a Bacon Chicken Ranch Wrap, the soup sampler, boneless wings, and a salad. Everyone was happy with their choices. Dessert was a latte and peanut butter pie. Similarly to Speckled Hen, you order at the counter and your food is brought to you. Lampeter Cafe stops serving breakfast (at 11:00a I believe), so I'd like to return for breakfast.
