So I brought My chameleons to see Dr. Lewis three different times. Each time my Chameleon kept getting worse. The final time he prescribed him a new medication that killed him when I ask for proof that my Chamaeleon was allowed to take this medication he said he may not be able to find something that shows the prof, and that I would have to take his word for it! I don't understand If my Chamaeleon is allowed to have the medication why can't he show me proof of it. I will never go to this place again or recommend him to anyone all he did was take my money each time until my Chamaeleon died!!! My poor son had to see his pet die on Easter Day!!!

My daughters cat has been in failing health for a few months and she has invested alot of money to try to make Mercedes well, at least a thousand dollars. Well, on 10/22 in the afternoon she began to foam at the mouth and could not walk. My son-in-law calls their vet before 4pm, Lincoln Highway Vet, to euthanize her, it was just too bad. They close at 6, and they said they were too busy to see her, they don't do emergencies and go to PETS, which everyone knows is double the cost. Now, I consider an emergency as the cat was hit by a car, the cat fell out of the tree, not a 5 minute tops visit where a shot is administered and you take the cat home to be buried. Dr. Lewis says how he treats our pets as if they were his own, he does videos on his love for animals...is this how you would treat your animals? I am sorry that pets, like humans, don't make an appointment to die and how hard would it have been to euthanize then to stress this family out more and send them somewhere else? I called the office to say we will no longer do business with them and find a new vet and my daughter is doing the same. Word of mouth is your best advertising, and I expect to do alot of talking. BTW, I asked Dr. Lewis to call me, I am still waiting. If you care about your animals, please go to another vet. I didn't want to give a 1 star rating, but there is no zero.Heard from the vets wife, how professional, who knows nothing of the conversation over the phone. My son-in-law mentioned euthanasia in the first phone call, then called back to ask the price, so I think he mentioned euthanasia. No IV ever given to our dogs that have been put down in the office, so I do not know if this is a new policy but it only took 5 minutes...out to the truck, administered a shot, listened for a heart beat, given a box, paid the bill, on our way. You can try to save face all you want, but this was handled very poorly and shame on you for talking for the office staff and the doctor...I thing they can speak for themselves. Is this a professional office or a woman going to bat for her husband because he got a bad review? I hope everyone reads this and sees how UNPROFESSIONAL this office is!!! The office manager, aka the wife, very hateful and sending me private messages, she must be watching the debate. People, read this before you make a mistake and choose this vet for your pets.Me thinks she is off her meds...

Confused....I have been coming here for years. I know one of my dogs was over due for a visit because I got a reminder. Because Of the pandemic I called and made an appointment for September which we just were in. The problem is my other dog is apparently overdue and I never received notification and they all need flea/tick meds. They would only give me meds for two of the dogs since one was overdue. I would think you would want, for the dog best interest, him to receive his meds. He has an appointment to come in and it would be healthier to have it. And yes, I am perfectly aware if he gets fleas the meds will kill them. That's what the receptionist kept telling me. I'm not an idiot. Point is to prevent fleas in my house. Not sure what a visit has to do with flea meds. So to keep all my dogs on the same schedule they all have to wait. Also when I made Baxter's appointment they did not tell me the other one was due. It's very annoying to a pet owner. It wasn't explained if the reason was medical???Thank you Angela for responding and helping me! We will see you in October

I've been taking my big dog here for two years and their staff always shows limitless compassion and care. I just got a new puppy and started taking her here as well. They always seem to show genuine care for each and every pet. My large dog recently sprained a muscle in his leg and we took him to the Pet ER since it was on a Sunday. The next day I got a call from Lincoln Highway Vet letting me know they got the report from the ER and they wanted to check to see if he's doing okay. Little things like this, where they go the extra mile, show they care and I can trust them with my pets. They give me the option to bring both my dogs in at the same time and sometimes even offer to clip their nails after an exam for free! Their prices are fair. They also send me email and text reminders when appointments are coming up, which is super convenient. When it comes to yearly shots, it only takes them about 10 minutes to get it all done so it's not a big deal if you have to get out of work. Overall, highly recommend them. If you want people who care like it's their own pets, this is the place.

We cannot say enough about Dr. Lewis and his staff! We absolutely LOVE our vet! He goes above and beyond and prices are very fair! After moving the last few years and changing vets quite a few times, we hadn't found one that is as helpful, supportive, informative and listens to our concerns. We have also had some bad experiences at previous vets. They are so caring both by phone, email and in person. Dr. Lewis actually gets down on Cooper's level and interacts with him. He also explains everything to us both scientifically if we ask and in an easy to understand manner. He also followed up via email when I sent a few video concerns. You will NOT find a better Lancaster vet! Best decision you will make!

Do not trust this Vet with your animals. This review is based on my experiences a couple years ago, I had a review up but I deactivated that Facebook account a while back and that removed all my reviews so I'm now going back and reviewing places that I've used. Anyway a couple years ago I moved here from New York and picked this as my new vet, one night my dog Started to vomit so the next day I took him here, They diagnosed him as just having an upset stomach from us being away for a couple days, didn't sound right to me but I have to trust my vet. After three or four days he was still doing it and seemed lethargic so I took him to PETS Animal emergency and they ran tests and discovered he had pancreatitis and it was very very bad. They even said that based on the way he was acting they should've done more testing at Lincoln Highway. Took a few days of treatment with IV and his numbers got much better and we were able to take him home, but it only took a couple days for him to get bad again so we brought him back to Emergency and it was even worse than the first day, so we had no choice but to euthanize him. I'm not sure If he could've been saved if we knew a few days earlier but it's always been on my mind that maybe he could have been saved. Other things that really annoyed me was during this process I was never able to speak to the vet, even if I had an appointment for follow up care I couldn't speak to the vet, I always had to ask the receptionist who would then ask the vet tech Who would ask the doctor and then get back to me through the same chain, it's a joke. I even had a special appointment once that I made just so I can get my two dogs nails done and it wasn't until I got there that they told me they couldn't do it that day because they were too busy. Here's the ridiculous part. When I left this review the first time a couple years ago someone came on acting like a customer defending Lincoln Highway but was using Lincoln Highway's Facebook account to do it, LOL, then they must have quickly realized and deleted that comment and came back on using a personal account with the exact same comments. So it's obviously employees acting like customers defending them. Then they ended up blocking me so I couldn't even defend myself to all the comments. I am now a very very happy customer at happy tails animal Hospital.

Dr. Lewis does complicated surgeries like ACLs with a surgical laser, cheaper than many board certified surgeons. The staff is wonderful and caring!

After providing proof of my unanswered communications to his office, unanswered response to the Better Business Bureau's request of him and my bill showing the overcharge, Dr. Drew has chosen to block me rather than refund the amount of the dispute. In his Yelp response he invited me to call him at his office and I did but he chose to never return the call. Beware of this office, there are much better choices for customer service and care for your pets. Be sure to check ratings at the Better Business Bureau before choosing a vet!
