I’ve gone to the other Sweetish location in the city many times in the last couple years, but today I went to this location for the first time. I loved the set up, and I was really happy to see two of my favorite stores (drom and sweetish) in one location with an easily accessible parking lot. Inside, the employee let me know that there was some construction going on, however, the shop was mostly full. She told me if any candy I was looking for wasn’t on display, she could check if they had it in the back. I did put together a small bag after browsing the decor from drom and I asked if they had two different candies I wasn’t seeing. She told me they didn’t have the first kind, but she was pretty sure they had these lemon strawberry roll ups I asked about. She went back and came back out maybe two minutes later with a bag full with six of them and told me since it took her so long, I didn’t have to pay. I told her that was so unnecessary, she didn’t take long, and I was happy to pay, they’re my favorite candy and I was thrilled she had some, but she insisted. When I checked out she was so kind making conversation and I was really surprised with how little I paid for my bag of candy even without the roll ups. I put all this because I’ve always had good experiences with Sweetish, but today I was really touched by and impressed with the customer service. I will definitely be going back and telling my friends. Thank you again to whoever was working, you made my day.

Very disappointed as this is the third time visiting the Granite Run location just to come home and realize most of the candy from the pick-n-mix section is so stale it’s not edible. I have let the store know before when this has happened in the hopes that there is something that could be done to correct the issue with how the candy is stored. The containers are usually full or 3/4 full when I go so it’s not that I’m picking from the bottom of the container. It’s also hard to tell in-store that the candy you’re scooping will be stale and it’s not always feasible to turn around and go back once you’re home. I bought at least 5 different kinds and 4 of them are stale.

I visited the shop on Granite Run and the candy was horrible. I spend $25.00 on various candies and didn’t realize most of it was very hard. Tasted stale. I was on my back to Delaware after visiting my daughter in Mount Joy. I have been to the shop in Lancaster on Queen street and it is so much better. The candy is fresh and not hard as a rock. I spoke with the manager at the Lancaster store and she told they have had a lot of complaints about the other store. They have talked to them but the store has yet to correct the situation. Don’t go to the shop on Granite Run. Candy is very bad.

Store smelled wonderful, worker was very pleasant and helpful. So many options to choose from, unfortunately half of them were stale. Will try again in the future for some of the candies I really liked.

What a cute shop! Gnomes! Mushrooms! Needle-felted Vikings! Weird but yummy Swedish candy! A little tough to find because of the signage but persevere and you'll be in for a treat! I like this location better than the downtown one because
1. It's easy to park and 2. There's also a gift shop in the space that has all kinds of cute items; NOT your typical PA Dutch kitsch that's so ubiquitous around here. I got sour skulls (great- a family fave), ginger licorice (also great) and some assorted stocking stuffers.
Staff is really friendly and helpful. 🤩

Unfortunately, my first impression was unfavorable. They have a handicapped entrance with a doorbell. I stood in the rain repeatedly pressing it to no avail. Finally I used the steps. A couple who were leaving told me that they told a male employee I was trying to get in, but he ignored them. I guess it was the end of his shift. The girl at the register said she did not hear the bell. I enjoyed the store, & the girl at the register was apologetic & helpful. There is lots of candy. They also have T-shirts & other swag. I would give a better rating had I been given access at the handicap entrance. Some of the items I purchased weren’t coded, causing delays in checking out.

I feel inadequate to review since I know nothing about Swedish candy. But from an outsider opinion, it was a neat store! Candy was yummy and there were lots of unique ones to choose from. I appreciated that everything was explained so I had a better understanding of flavors. The candy is all sold by the pound. When I went it was $15 a pound. A little pricey but I understand for a specialty store. You grab some gloves and then take whatever candy you want and fill your bag. The store is small, but not too cramped. It’s a little overwhelming if you don’t go in with prior knowledge. I brought my two year old which wasn’t a great idea because I needed to take time to read every candy bin and he just wanted to open all the bins and grab candy! So I’d either go in with some research under your belt, or go alone with some time so you can thoroughly look through all the bins. It’s mostly chewy candy, not chocolate. You may lose some fillings! ;)

Great candy store! Lots of unique items and neat things you can buy! There's a lot of Swedish candies originating from the Sweden areas, and also some other candies from around the world. I definitely recommend checking it out. There's also a nice location downtown, too!
