Just moved to Lancaster city and have been needing a haircut for a while. I moved from the NYC metro area, and finding a person who gives a good cut in central PA seemed like kind of a challenge...nervously, I booked an appointment and just went with the good Yelp reviews - and they were spot on. Tina was great! I got the best haircut I've gotten in a long time. Tina (the owner/stylist) really listens to what you want. Throughout the haircut, she asked me if I wanted to adjust this or that, talked about what she was doing, and it was really helpful in getting the perfect cut that for me will be both easy to maintain, able to dress up, and also really stylish. She nailed it. She also seems like a really great person. Very nice, down to earth, and easy to work with...with a great sense of style & what will work for you. I'll be going back when the time comes!

I love this salon. Going there is not just another "thing" on the to-do list. It's like spending time with a good friend. Anyone who knows me well knows I usually loathe empty chit-chat. Tina is smart and caring. Tina is also a fabulous stylist. She goes the extra mile to understand exactly what I want. The salon itself is a cozy little storefront tastefully decorated by Tina herself. Prices are a bit high but worth it to walk out the door of Viva La Vida absolutely delighted with my hair!

I made my first appointment at Viva la Vida out of convenience--it's about a block from my house. I'd seen Tina, the owner, around the salon and really liked her hair (always a good sign!) so thought I'd give it a try. I think now I've been going there for about 5 or 6 years and I cannot imagine going anywhere else. Tina does a great, great job--for the first time in my life I actually like my hair!

I love Viva La Vida! I have been to the other top notch salons in the area, but they all pale in comparison to the warmth and talent at this salon. When you first walk in the decor is bright and cozy. Tina has done a great job at creating a trendy and warm salon. I have had short blonde hair for many years and have gone to many salons in the tri-state area from Lancaster, Philadelphia, New Jersey, and New York. Alana at Viva La Vida does the best color of them all. To top that off her cuts are great as well. She is so customer oriented- she really listens to what you want and asks all the right questions. I've recommended for two of my pickiest friends to go to Alana and they both raved about her, and of course now get their hair done regularly by her.

My wife and I found out about Viva La Vida from a family friend who goes there. We just moved to Lancaster and my wife needed a good hair dresser. Since going in to Viva La Visa in October, per the recommendation, my wife has been back to see Alana on over 10 different occasions. I get my haircut by Alana too, but it's the wife who is very particular about her hair! The place has a very cozy feel and it's located on an easy to get to part of town. There are only two chairs in the shop so you get a very private haircut. I definitely feel more comfortable here then I did at past studios. Alana does a great job. Not only does she do magic on my wife's hair, but she's also very personable. We have found our stylist for as long as we're here! Thanks, Alana!
