Very disrespectful to employees. Prices are way too high for used items. $30 for a used pair of shoes that is ridiculous. Do not go to the latrobe Goodwill. Even patrons are rude.

Greedwill at its finest. Insane prices. List this stuff online if you want eBay prices.

Prices are confusing and irrational. Many used items are priced comparable to new. It seems as though they research similar items online and then price at whatever the highest price they find on eBay, Poshmark, etc.

I don't know what happened at this location but when it was first opened it was reasonable as goodwill goes but lately this store is crazy pricey.
Never seen so many $30 plus tags on multiple items in a single goodwill, funny most of those items still sit after 50% off.
Seems to be a trend with these stores under the Goodwill of the Southern Alleghenies.

When did this Goodwill become a boutique/antique shop?
While visiting the area recently, I decided to stop by as I used to frequent this location over 10 years ago when I was a student at SVC. Back then, I often found great items at reasonable prices, and I was excited to see what treasures might await this time.
What we encountered, however, was nothing short of shocking. It felt as though this Goodwill had completely lost touch with its mission as a thrift store, with prices that could rival boutique or even antique shop standards. Here's just a sampling of what we saw:
- A clearly worn pair of used Coach women’s shoes priced at $30.
- Men’s Adidas shorts with visible stains, marked at $20.
- A heavily worn men’s Under Armour shirt, with the logo barely visible anymore, priced at $15.
- A small, square tin featuring strawberries (about the size of a softball), priced at $4.99.
- A broken Fisher-Price wooden toy, covered in grime with ripped stickers, inexplicably priced at $15.
- Kitchenware items, including bowls and plates, priced between $20–$50.
We walked through half the store in disbelief and left before we even made it the entire way through. Goodwill has traditionally been a place for affordable shopping and the excitement of finding hidden gems—not a place where customers are met with sticker shock and prices exceeding what you'd pay for brand-new items at retailers like Target or Walmart.

They really don't sort it the clothing into a men's section and a women's section. The t-shirts are mixed togeether. It makes it difficult to shop there.

$8 for a scarf?? 12 for a belt?? $20 for a damaged wicker picnic basket?? These are not thrift prices. In addition, this Goodwill claims to not be affiliated with the rest of the goodwills, which demonstrates that the company umbrella is intentionally screwing the customer base by region. They do not do coloured tag sales like the other goodwills do, and instead do their own tag system. Apparently this is the divide between Allegheny and Indiana in the eyes of Goodwill. No student, military, teacher, etc discounts here on Monday or Tuesdays.
The employees of this Goodwill love to tell you what a good deal you're getting even though I'm clearly staring at tags that are more expensive than some of the discounted price tags from their original manufacturer. Don't get me wrong, there are a few nice employees in there. I wish that I knew the name of the one young man with great hair who helped me.

The prices really show how greedy this goodwill has become. I honestly feel bad for the locals who need to buy stuff for their family and can’t afford other options. They are better off buying things from Walmart etc because the prices are pretty much the same.

This store is absolutely DISGUSTING. The store is relatively clean, but the prices are sickening. Obviously, businesses need to make money, but this Goodwill gets their items for FREE and they charge $30 for a pair of beat up addidas shoes? Goodwill in general has raised their prices lately, but this store is more than any other. I hope nobody gives any of their money to this store. This is 100% NOT a non-profit business.

Couldn't find what we were looking for but they were helpful locating where to look. Just didn't have size we needed but we'll definitely return.

Organized and tons of items! To address other reviews about pricing of instruments. These are decent prices for instruments. (Former music educator and play in many ensembles.)Check out some of the music stores like Woodwind Brasswind online and you will see some crazy prices. One could buy a used car for the price of a good instrument, so if you see a trumpet for under $800 and you need one, grab it. Back to the store, clean, organized and friendly employees. I've found clothing , a music stand, holiday items and some good books there.

Just got ripped off about 8 to $10 cuz the cashier with the nose ring the new one can't be bothered to ring stuff up separately and just puts it all in one pile and rings it all up together and when called out on it she just made excuses didn't even give me my half off on the items that were on sale this is pathetic people come here to save money and you're literally literally stealing it from them I will
