Pet Care

Latrobe Animal Clinic
115 Bay Hill Dr, LatrobeA huge thank you to Latrobe Animal Clinic, Dr. Mary and the entire staff! Yesterday, our pug puppy, Ponyo, was spayed, had her nose opened, and her soft pallet resected. Last night Ponyo had NO storing at all. She sounds fantastic! Her nose and throat getting done is going to absolutely change her life, especially as she gets older. I’m so grateful to have so many people in my life that I trust fully to take care of my pets health, and keep me updated the entire time! She also got microchipped and bloodwork before surgery, and somehow our total came out I think even less than the low side of the estimate! Ponyo is doing fantastic less than 24 hours after surgery, so well in fact we had to call to up her dose of sedatives! I could not recommend Latrobe animal clinic more! They are the absolute best!
Photos are of her nose before and after surgery

Lakeview Animal Clinic
809 Monastery Dr, LatrobeThis morning we had a very ill 12-year old Smooth Collie. We called Lakeview Animal Clinic and they had the first appointment available. Blood tests were conducted and x-rays were taken. She was treated by Dr. Andy Stas. His knowledge and expertise are astonishing. He diagnosed her with acute gastroenteritis and prescribed meds. Tonight she is recovering well. We are so grateful to Dr. Stas and everyone at the clinic. They are consummate professionals and caring, kind people. We are fortunate to have all of them here.

French Express
1020 Latrobe 30 Plaza #429, LatrobeWhat a treasure! A must stop anytime I am in the area. The food is amazing! The only downside to this place is it's not very big so there is no guarantee you will be able to sit in and eat. But it is well worth going!

Four Seasons Brewing Company, Inc.
745 Lloyd Ave Exd, LatrobeWhat a gem! I discovered this brewery when I was at the nearby nature center for family photos and looked on Yelp for restaurants nearby. Bonus was that it is also on the Laurel Highlands Pour Tour. We enjoyed everything about this brewery. First, it is HUGE! There is the main bar/tasting room and then another where the restaurant/food ordering is along with additional tables. There was also a lot of outdoor seating as well. The night we were there, there was a music trivia event going on. It was nice that there were two rooms of seating because you could be close to the action or you could be a little separate from it (but you still could hear what was going on). I sampled several beers at the bar before deciding on flight. Service was friendly and the bartender was able to tell me a lot about the brewery itself and each individual beer. Something to note is that you order the food at a kitchen window and the beers at the bar. Nothing wrong with that (and everything was actually really efficient). But sometimes it is good to know those details. Between us, we tried the onion rings, buffalo chicken dip, two different pizzas, steak nachos and tacos. Everything was delicious! Food is brought to your table when it is ready and everything was hot and fresh. The highlight for us was the onion rings. Huge and packed with flavor. Although everything we ordered was something we would eat again. Overall, an incredible experience and wonderful place that I hope to return to again.

Gosia's Pierogies
5803 PA-981, LatrobeI got the chance to try their Pierogies at the Farmer’s Market in Market Square last week. I had never tried Pierogies before, but after getting the chance to indulge in this pastry, I can confidently say that they are some of the tastiest appetizers I’ve ever had.
Gosia’s Pierogies, in particular, are beyond fresh, as the pillowy texture of the outside dough followed by the savory combination of the potatoes & cheese really bring out the “X-factor” in their homemade staples.
I would recommend their Pierogies to anyone who’s visiting Pittsburgh, as, I, myself, plan on trying their food again whenever I get the chance. Staff is very accommodating, as well.
10’s across the board!

Latrobe Dairy Queen
15 Terry Way, LatrobeThere are two lines at the drive thru and they keep it moving. Can feel claustrophobic when both lines are filled. If both lines are filled then you must exit onto Lloyd Ave and not Terry Way.

Thirty's Craft Pizza and Beers
4433 Lincoln Hwy, LatrobeI had the French onion soup to start. The soup had great bold flavor honestly one of the better French onions I have had. I had a tuxedo burger for the meal. The fries that came with it were absolutely delicious. The burger came with 2 patties, mushrooms, onion and gravy. It was all good and large sized. My wife got the Rachel which was also large size. Our meal was around $60 which i felt was fair for the large portions you received . They do have the pizza oven in open sight you can watch them cook. Perfect for kids and away from the bar. They do have a bar and have live bands at times. I highly recommend giving them a chance if you haven't already !

Penny would have been so happy to donate her diamond collar, but that was stolen out of her home in New Jersey probably from Mimi Ann’s little dog COCO .
