About The Salvation Army Thrift Store & Donation Center
The Salvation Army Family Store & Donation Center is a very clean, well-organized, and friendly place. The store is well set-up and the cashiers are typically kind and sweet to everyone. Shoppers can occasionally find some bargains and cool items, never knowing what they will find, and special sales days can offer good prices. The store supports a good cause, with proceeds funding rehabilitation centers. However, many reviewers feel the prices have gone up and are now ridiculously high for household goods, clothing, and holiday items. Prices are often at or above retail for both new and used items, with specific mentions of socks, tablecloths, and ornaments being more expensive than at local retailers. This pricing practice has led some to shop less, as people come to thrift stores to save money and not pay full price for donated items. There is a hope that prices will reflect fair value for donated goods so the store can remain open for the community.
Clean, well organized, selection was also just right. Everything is priced what it should be for used clothes and hit this place when everything was 50% off. A+ staff.
