The employees and pharmacists are the bright spot, but corporate has made service and products a total mess. Customers and employees are only numbers with a bottom line strategy. Seems like a toxic work environment is present most of the time. The phone line is a joke.

Poor service, incredibly slow, and they seem to always be out of stock of everything. Go somewhere else if you value your time, or actually want your meds in a timely fashion.

Absolutely abhorrent service for a pharmacy. There is no communication between employees. Refills are almost impossible to get filled without SOMETHING weird being done with them.Went to pick up my allergy pills last night, because it was the refill date. Shouldn't have been an issue. They had me wait for about 20 minutes to ultimately end up getting ****1**** allergy pill in a pharmacy bottle. They said to come back today, and the prescription will be ready. I was fine enough with that solution. But I get there today, and they tell me that my refill will be in on Monday. No, that's not what I was told. That's not acceptable. You don't make people wait days for their DAILY MEDICATION, especially after saying that it would be available the next day. After waiting for another 20 minutes, they gave me the allergy pills. So if you had them, and I was told yesterday that I could have them today, it's not a supply issue. What are your prerequisites for qualifying to pick up a prescription if you're just hoarding the medication, and it's not a supply issue?!This is not the first issue I've had with the pharmacy; just the latest in a long list. We'll be transferring our whole family's prescriptions to the Lower Burrell location, where we have never had issues, because Leechburg Giant Eagle can't handle the task of just BEING a pharmacy.Wait time will be long. Incredibly long wait. 3 cars in front of you, 3 cars behind you. Going inside does NOT cut the wait time down. That particular part of the store is constantly congested with parked shopping carts and people waiting past the line dividers for their medications. They do NOT care about their customers. They want you to be out of their face as soon as possible, and to shut up, essentially. None of them seem to have an intellectual grasp on the concept that people NEED these prescriptions to live their lives.Edit to say: IF YOU CANNOT GET THROUGH ON THE PHONE TO THIS PHARMACY, CALL THE FRONT DESK UNTIL YOU HAVE SOMEBODY FROM PHARMACY ON THE LINE. THEY LITERALLY LOWER THE VOLUME ON THEIR PHARMACY PHONE, SO YOU MIGHT ACTUALLY NEVER GET THROUGH.

Unacceptable. Called on Tuesday to have an Rx transferred to this location and I was assured it would be done, but it was not, and I never received any communication. finally on Saturday my Rx is being filled with a substitute brand. When I brought my concerns to the pharmacist and the pharmacist techs they were apologetic but clearly had no intention of remedying the issue. Again unacceptable, very very disappointing and frustrating.

The pharmacy does not provide great customer service. Went inside 45 minutes prior to the pharmacy closing to get a flu shot and was told they didn’t have enough time to assist me. I called a couple hours before arriving and no one answered the phone for over 20 minutes. I visited the Giant Eagle website and read that walk-ins were accepted and you could fill out your paperwork online to save time at the pharmacy, which I did. Upon arrival, I was the only person there. No one else in line or in the drive thru. The employee advised me that they didn’t have time to assist me because they’d have to fill a script for my flu shot and it takes “a very long time” to do so. I said I followed the websites instructions as they advertised, showed up 45 minutes before closing, and attempted to call with no one answering the phone. She laughed, walked back to what I am assuming was a pharmacist, and came back just repeating herself once again and laughed. Unacceptable customer service. This is unfortunately not the first issue with this pharmacy as they have given me the wrong prescription in the past and have even openly told me on another occasion that they gave my prescription away to another customer because they were short on supply, which was the most baffling thing I ever heard, especially since I arrived the day after receiving notification that they prescription was ready for pick up. I unfortunately also overheard an employee in the drive-thru be rude to an elderly woman because she was having difficulty using their new payment machine in the drive thru. The lady was so upset she walked back to my car, said the employee was unwilling to help (which I could hear from my vehicle) and asked me to help her with the machine. I felt terrible for how she was treated. The pharmacy is a revolving door of employees with different people every time you walk-in or visit the drive-thru, and very rarely are kind to their customers. This location seems to know they’re the only pharmacy locally with zero competition and it shows in their poor customer service skills.

Have had issues, but the same has happened elsewhere. Find me a perfect pharmacy that has not irritated someone at some point. Staff is normally nice., but like anywhere else you can always feel when it's been a stressful day. So pooh pooh on the really bad reviews. No human or business is perfect...hence the review process...ugh!

They don't refill prescriptions right away when called in from a doctor. They have bad customer service. Always have to wait as well. Their notification service is a joke. I just took my last family members business to Rite Aid. If I were you, I would do the same.

I had to have a prescription sent from another pharmacy. And the lady I was talking to was very nice and helpful. She told she would take care of everything. And she did! It was only an hour later that my prescription was ready!!!!

Beyond upset and disappointed…my 6 yr old daughter has been suffering for weeks with an ear infection, we been trying to get her medication at this pharmacy and it has been impossible…this is literally the 3rd medication that has been on back order. Then to top it off today January 3rd… I drop a paper script off with the window teller and giant eagle pharmacy .. and they tell me me they don’t have this medication either, so.. as her dr ordered .. I took the paper script to another pharmacy… and they tell me Giant eagle pharmacy has the script shown as filled … so the pharmacy tried calling Giant eagle pharmacy… they waited on hold for a half hour … so they asked me if I’d go back to giant eagle’s pharmacy and see if they’d reverse the ordered script … so I did … the teller there says to me all they had to do was call and have it reversed. I said, they’ve been on hold for a half hour … so then she says :. It’s reversed now . You can go pick it up … but it was not reversed. I don’t understand what’s going on anymore.

My provider sent scripts here on accident as it’s my emergency pharmacy and not my regular one. My regular pharmacy called to get them transferred and they only sent one thing. They called again and the pharmacist gave my pharmacy and attitude and said they didn’t have anything else. I called and they told me my scripts were expired and the pharmacist again was rude especially when I told her someone from giant eagle called last week and said my scripts were ready. I had my doctors office call because my scripts were in fact not expired and the same (unprofessional) pharmacist told my doctors office that if I transfer my scripts I am no longer allowed to fill any prescriptions at giant eagle anymore. It is impressive how bad everyone at this pharmacy is at their job. I have never not had an issue here. Finally will find somewhere else as an emergency pharmacy because this place is unprofessional and just downright disrespectful. Use Klingensmith in Leechburg instead, support local.

Yes, sometimes they are backed up - but where isn't these days? Not being able to get workers has made places slower and more crowded everywhere. The workers here have ALWAYS been polite and I go out of my way to try and give them a laugh to brighten their day.Give it a try - I'm sure they are just as tired of dealing with crabby people as we are of having to wait (due to no fault of theirs).p.s. The last time I went to the drive thru there was a big sign in the window that said they were only doing Covid tests there. Maybe the sign fell down or someone forgot to replace it one day (gasp!). Try giving people the benefit of the doubt instead of judging them and you might just become a slightly happier person.

The phone line is always busy and if by some miracle it rings they won’t ever answer it any way. My vet sat on hold for 25 minutes and no one ever answered. They ended up just faxing the prescription but I can’t get a hold of any one in the pharmacy to find out if they ever got it. It’s been like this for months. Just go somewhere else and save yourself the trouble.
