This DG is convenient but not always very well stocked. If you want a certain brand of things like soda, cereal, or cat food, you have to get there early on Saturdays or it will sell out and you'll have to come back another day.
They made the sidewalk to the left of the store barely wide enough for a single cart and then also failed to put posts up, so if someone pulls their vehicle clear in to the curb you can't get your cart through because the front end of the vehicle will be in the way, so you will either have to take it over the curb and through the parking lot to get it to your car or else carry all of your bags to your car from that point. Also, God forbid you park on that side and then a delivery shows up, because the semis will park you in. The delivery entrance is at the back lefthand side of the building and there is not a lot of room to navigate. So avoid parking on the left unless you can avoid it.
Their biggest issue is the slow employees, especially when we aren't allowed to use the self-checkouts anymore. Unless you get lucky and the one chatty, polite, and efficient young man that they employ happens to be working, be prepared to stand in a long line because he seems to be the only one who can work and talk at the same time, or who seems to care that the line is long and people have other things they'd rather be doing. I have seen him come up to check the length of the line and then hop into checkout duty when needed. I have seen others finish a transaction and then stand there and carry on a conversation with someone they know while the line wound around the checkout lane and down the last aisle.
I hope that corporate reads this and gives that kid a raise to keep him there, because he is one of the only really good things that the store has going for it.
Other than that, I love how convenient it is, and that they have a decent amount of products.
Now, if only we could get the people who build DG stores to take over both the cashier positions and then PennDOT...

Constantly and for identification for some reason. Overpriced not a very clean store.

The attendant was sleeping in the back room while the kiosks weren’t working and people were frustratingly leaving. On top of that the most basic iPhone cable I can find was $16, are you out if your mind!

Messy store as most Dollar Generals are, but this was the worst I've seen. Cashier left checkout and went to office to talk. I was paying with cash and would have loved to self checkout, but it wasn't open. Cashier finally came out. Younger girl, extremely rude. Receipt said her name was Ian, but I am not sure. Locality is good, but I'll drive out of my way to avoid.

I know people get busy and I like when people are enjoying their job listening to music while stocking shelves, but when 3 employees are by the register area when we go to check out and then all 3 magically vanish while we stand there at the register and put our items on the counter, it's a little irritating to have to pick it all back up to take to self check out when nobody comes back.

Worst thing ever was installing those self checkout kiosks. Drove up to the store and both employees were outside smoking and joking. Walked in and got two bags of chips ($3.50/bag or 2 for $7.00). Walked around to the self checkout as if I had an option. Rang up both bags hopping that it would recognize the special. It didn't. Looked around for assistance. Didn't get any. Paid my $7.00 and walked out. Employee #1 and #2 were still smoking and joking at the corner of the building. I guess they're making the company more money by not helping the customers....

Dollar General Leeper, PA. Normally a great place to get camp supplies. They "generally" have what you need and are pleasant. Today however was another story. Didn't get her name because she rang me up as "Aiden." Evidently she was miffed that I went through the checkout line versus the new self checkout lane for what she thought was just a bag of chips. Muttered under her breath once about it and then again after she checked out the lady in front of me. When I asked her to speak up and repeat herself, she backed down and said, "nothing." Rang up my bag of chips and then I asked her for a small bag of ice as well (Ice is located outside of the store. You buy first and pick up as you leave.) Don't be lazy "Aiden."

Store and most of the staff were fine. I was “helped” by a lady named Carmen I believe was her name and let me just say, if it hadn’t been for her, I would be leaving a 5 star review. She was rude and belittling to not only myself, but to my husband as well. And this isn’t the first time we’ve encountered her but I thought the other times maybe she was just having a bad day. But I guess not. So if you see her working, don’t try to get any REAL help from her, without being disrespected. She ruined our entire experience and has multiple times. Absolutely will not be back to this location and will be telling others not to go as well. Seems like it’s more work to be rude than it would be to just be kind to others, but what do I know.

Ive been to other dollar generals and they had everything, this location has very limited selection of stuff. I wish there were more options, and wish it was bigger! Also needs better lighting inside!

aThe store was super messy. The aisles were cluttered with boxs, totes, clothes and toys. Shelves were totally empty.
