go, making sure the furniture was arranged in the way we wanted it, letting us know when they found something broken (all of the items he alerted us to had been damaged prior to the move). Moving is stressful; Samm and his team helped alleviate that stress with their “can do” attitudes and Samm’s independent and strategic thinking. “The owner of Carnegie Self Storage also manages this facility. I have been looking for a storage place for our trailer/jet skis. I called Carnegie Self storage and was told by the owner they were full. He did say if an opening came up he would call me. I kept looking for a storage place, it was disappointing because some place charged way to much or they were at least 20 miles away.
Then out of nowhere I got a call from Carnegie Self Storage. A vacancy suddenly occurred due to a person having to move. The owner is true to his word, and the facility has a video monitoring system. Additionally, it is completely fenced, you enter the place with a personal code. One last thing, it is only 1 1/4 mile from where I live. Win, win?”
“My experience with Central Van in Pittsburgh was wonderful. I was making a move from the Pittsburgh area to Florida. I wasn’t moving an entire household, just personal items, king size Sleep Number Bed, clothes and kitchen items. I had called another agency and received an estimate over the phone. I gave them a deposit to hold the reservation date and was told I could cancel any time. A couple days later RaeAnn with Central Van came to my home to do a walk through to give me an estimate of the move. She was a pleasure to do business with and quite accurate regarding the volume and weight of items to be transported. She put me at ease about the entire moving process. Following that visit and receiving the final estimate, which did not require a deposit,I called the other company to cancel. I was told it was past the 72hrs to cancel and would not receive my deposit back. I started reading reviews of this other company and knew I had made a mistake. There wasn’t one good review. I started reading about these moving brokers and moving companies that add on more charges through out the moving process, use unsecured storage locations and customers having their items damaged or missing. After constant worry I called RaeAnn on the Friday evening, a couple days before my Monday morning pick up by this other company, and explained what happened. Her office was closed over the weekend but she returned my call first thing Monday morning. Because I was selling the house I had to be out in a couple days. After checking her schedule she said she could have my items picked up the very next morning. I immediately contacted the other company and canceled. The next morning Jacob, TJ and Chance arrived and did an awesome job packing and loading my items. They were very pleasant, organized and careful. Although I forfeited my deposit with the other company, the peace of mind I gained dealing with a reputable company with outstanding customer service was worth every penny.”

“Add furniture in a storage unit for approximately seven months. Taking the furniture out even though it was covered, it was not dirty or dusty. The temperature was always comfortable and the discount at the beginning was fantastic. that really helped with choosing a storage”
