“If you haven't been to Carey and Schnalzer you are missing out on high quality food at great prices. They have the best sausages and steaks. Their ground beef is perfect and priced right. They have all kinds of prepared foods too. This is where I go for meats to grill or throw in the smoker. They even have homemade dog food. My dogs love it and my dogs are picky eaters. I make my own dog food at home so I know good quality when I see it. This is a well balanced meal for your dog. I highly recommend this place!”
“This is THE best place to grab all your meats, lunch meats, and cheeses. They have an awesome bacon lovers turkey breast that is outta this world. Some prices are even cheaper than a grocery store. I refuse to get my meats anywhere except Tompson's Meat Market in Slatington. You won't be disappointed.”
“House of Jerky is a hidden gem for jerky lovers! My boys are obsessed over beef jerky and someone told us about The House of Jerky so of course we had to stop by since we were in the area. Its a quaint little shop and has every type of beef jerky that you could imagine and then some! The man working there (I forget his name) was very friendly and helpful and even gave the kids some samples. The variety of flavors is impressive, and the staff's hospitality adds to the charm of the place. Sampled a few flavors and left with a bagful of favorites. “Amazing farmers' market. I am very glad to have made the detour on my way back to NJ from Jim Thorpe. Great assortment of meat, poultry, and fresh produce. The raw milk and the eggs are great. Owners were super friendly as were their dogs.”
